Kumonorei's Achievements

  1. AMOLAD is my favourite in recent years, but overall I'd probably go for Powerslave or Seventh Son
  2. Borknagar - Urd Never got round to checking this out before, but I'll definitely be checking out more from these guys, absolutely awesome album. The vocals are absolutely incredible as well.
  3. Raventhrone - Malice in Wonderland Haven't listened to this in years, I had forgotten how great it is
  4. Not listened to that for a while, need to give it a spin again sometime
  5. Forefather - Last of the Line (album)
  6. Quite a few of my favourites in there, good choices. I've been a big fan of Porcupine Tree for a long time, hopefully they'll get some new stuff out eventually. Don't be ashamed of the nu-metal stuff either, a lot of us will have been introduced to heavy music through those bands, and some of them aren't that bad... or is that just me
  7. Metal wouldn't be metal without endless debates about subgenres. I think it is good to have though. I'm into a lot of doom metal for example, but death/doom is very different from stoner doom or traditional doom. Yes there's similarities, as there should be since it's all doom. But the differences are big enough to warrant different classifications. If you think metal has too many subgenres you should look at electronic music....
  8. Hi there, thanks for the suggestion, found it on spotify so checking it out now, I like what I hear so far
