  1. Black Harvest - Your words are made of Gold. Any mother would be proud, if a little worried, and I think it's beautiful. I thought I'd heard the whole of Abject, but I missed this tune.
  2. Glad to gather your painting of late, look forward to seeing it. I'm a fan of yours in 2D for sure. As for the music I have to agree with your mother that it would be nice to hear you sing some nice songs, I bet you would have a lovely voice if you weren't screaming the whole time. Just kidding of course, scream your heart out Alabaster! is the painting for the new album cover? Is the painting the one we have seen in grey scale of a figure looming over the ruins of a city, or the one with someone getting shoved by multitudes. Do those sound like paintings of yours, or do I need to go back to the art thread. Please post something there to let us see.
  3. Slayer - South Of Heaven. I have never been able to appreciate thrash or whatever this is, try as I might, I'm going to give up in a minute.
  4. I just put worcestershire sause in my whiskey sour instead of bitters, which is a big mistake, but I am drinking it anyway so there is a fact about me.
  5. big old Murkrat play list on the youtube. The vocals remind me of Balkan women's coral music.
  6. I am listening to the little bits of Derketa available on youtube. Can't find a full album there.
  7. In his 6/26/2014 post in the Doom101 thread (a thread that is the center of my musical life these days [gratzie mille {as always}]) BAN posts a video linked recommendation for Derketa, a band I'd never heard of. I'm not sure they riot, but they crush souls and wreak havoc for sure, and are all female apparently. It's raw brutal and unclean. Also they have a wicked badassed lettered band name which gives the impression of electrified death, so hopefully you'll enjoy that.
  8. Cathedral - Forest of Equilibrium
  9. Down - Nola....edit, guess I didn't like it much, love the lettering they use for their name though.
  10. Pentagram - Day of Reckoning. Wow, contrasting background! I should think of something else to say while the typing is so good. I am enjoying this album on youtube, but really it seems to be Sabbath-lite. Sabbath had so much soul, why is that quality so rare? Sad to give up such a nice dark background and bright letters, oh well.
  11. Solitude Aeturnus - Beyond The Crimson Horizon
  12. lots and lots of doom... heavy, woeful doom metal.
  13. wow, Corrupted , so beautiful and such an enigmatic band. I really enjoyed the cut, and reading about them as well. If I was inclined to say something pretentious I might comment that they seem very self-conscious without being at all self-indulgent. If only I could develop those qualities.
  14. Traditionally it takes six people to move a coffin, so I think your right, that could be tricky to organise
  15. They big issue for me would be weather or not you have enough room to roll over with and to sleep comfortably on you side, I bet not. If its a simple pine box or any coffin with a flat lid, you can use it like a coffee table when your not sleeping, so that's pretty handy. Will you install speakers?
  16. Neurosis - Through Silver In Blood
  17. Shape of Despair- Angles of Distress
  18. It's been a heavy diet of doom for me this morning. I'm listening to Nevertenazra's Seperation Anxiety. You all wield a heavy hammer of doom, plus I enjoy the fancy prog side of Nevertenzra, so please accept that complement BAN and thanks again for the suggestions, I know its a lot of work. I listened to the whole album of Neurosis, souls at Zero, and enjoyed it as much as I've enjoyed any album the first time through. One tune way back in the thread called something like "Angels of Distress" was super beautiful. The Doom Metal can be so beautiful and delicate, so harsh and extreme. I fucking love it. Does anyone have any affection for the band Pagan Alter? Personally I like their crusty folkishness and grim pathos.
  19. Judas Priest- Screaming for Vengance
  20. Recently got a used Marantz turn table, been without a couple of years. In that time I've been buying used albums, and here are some of the metal or metalish ones I've found. Black Sabbath- live evil 3 Scorpions albums including Tokyo Tapes 5 albums by various LA hair bands you no doubt find silly Def Leppard- pyromania Iron Butterfly- Ball ACDC- for those about to rock Judas Priest- Screaming for Vengeance UFO- Lights Out l
  21. Sade, promise. So there you have it, it's not metal all the time with me.
