Oh, look, a dark field against which to type, such a blessing! Thanks Yobo, I really enjoyed the tune in Dutch by Akelei. It makes me feel very cool and sophisticated to hear stuff in foreign languages. I'm sure the commercial pressure to sing in English is considerable, and I bet I'd tire of not knowing what the words meant if music only came in languages I didn't understand. For example nothing by Candlemass was sung in Swedish as far as I can tell, and that's a shame because I would kind of like to hear that. That song by Akelei has a kind of new age feel it seems to me, and there seems to be a strong current of new age running through a bunch of the doom (though not in other tunes from Yobo's post above). Maybe some would call it ambient, and maybe that's a more accurate term, but with pretty vocals instead of growling some of this "metal" would be suitable for background music while getting a pedicure in a spa. I don't necessarily mean for that to be a criticism, except in so much as it is scathing, but wonder what others think. What do you think? This morning I have listened to a lot of stuff on Youtube from The Gates of Slumber, and find it nearly fully awesome (the guitar player has a slight tendency to get a little noodley in a blues fashion, but it's tolerable). I dig the swords and sorcerers cover art. Best thread ever.

Taxes you say. Alabaster, was there not a revolution? Well excuse the dirty laundry those not from the USA, but God bless America. As much as we may enjoy condemning the Chinese for manipulating their currency, we seem devout in our intent to finance war after way by the devaluation of the almighty dollar. As for the non Americans out there, would you be interested in footing the bill for our next murderous outburst, I hope you realize that eventually we will decide to charge for the service. Anyway, I love a parade and a hot dog so happy independence day, and don't forget to keep loving freedom. (this post was in no way meant to insinuate that the martial forces of the USA have anything less than the total right to wage war where ever they may care to, if I was seeming to suggest otherwise I blame it on the black metal I'm listening to).

This is pretty exciting, I'm looking forward to it for sure. That is about the most image conscious picture I've ever seen of this band, but that is fine, image can be fun. Plus I like their 70's mojo. I want to be a badassed metal star and design my own album covers.

Sorry your having trouble sleeping on account of nightmares. I wanted to offer a few suggestions. Firstly I wonder if you've tried writing down some of your dreams. If you did maybe your unconscious would decide that you have "gotten the message" and it would ease up a bit. Also I've heard three suggestion for what to do in difficult dreams. If you are in trouble you should call for help as someone will come and help you, If you have some kind of an adversary in your dream and your able to defeat them you should demand that they give you something as a gift, and if ever you should die in your dream you should not wake up but wait to see what happens after you have died because it could be important. If your not aware your dreaming and cannot effect your dreams it may seem like you couldn't use these rules, but perhaps knowing them will be enough. I think nightmares are wonderful in their way, but you need your rest, so I'm sure it would be hard to see them as a blessing. Sleep well RelentlessOblivion.

This here is post number 100 for me on the metal forum, and I'm glad about that.

I'm an expert with a wheel barrow. Straight up 100% masterfully professional with a wheel barrow. In addition to that I am very handy with cardboard. It is my medium, and I'm basically a natural at cutting it up and taping it together to make stuff. Tonight I have make a vertical spinning game called "Wheel of Satisfaction". Sorry if it comes off as bragging, and it may be that, but it is also true facts about me.
