14. Depravity - Silence of the Centuries From Finland comes Depravity, a band which released a few demos and one EP before releasing their most known work: Silence of the Centuries. With this record, Depravity has displayed influences from the Finnish death metal heritage as well as the ambition to expand that very legacy. When listening to Silence of the Centuries, you might be surprised to find a quite unique take on death metal which focuses heavily on atmosphere. The vocals are low and accompany the icy, blood-freezing riffs (of which there are plenty) on this record. Because of this approach, brutality as it is known nowadays is restricted, but don't worry, the eerie melodic atmospheres will be more than glad to take you away themselves.

Inquisition - Bloodshed... (album)

A solo recording as in a solo album? I did really enjoy Shiro-Ishii and some of Black Harvest repertoire so I'd be interested to look into that project as well as some of your new artwork. 
I've quit making music quite a while back. The project of which I was part didn't really seem to take shape in a way any of the members, including me, had hoped and it just slowly dissipated. From that point all of us went our separate ways and I haven't really bothered since. I still play chess, although a lot of the theory I had built up has been lost. I don't consider my myself worse though, as I've never stopped playing and all the reflexes I once had are still integrated in my games.
Considering fatherhood, where to start... I'm trying my best, I guess? Half of the time I don't really know what I'm doing to be honest. My girlfriend and I recently moved to our new place which is much more spatial than my last. It's been a bit difficult since we both work completely different shifts. It's rewarding, but also takes every bit of effort/focus (I don't know the work) to make it work the best I can.

Pf, just went for a run and couldn't even reach 10km after a few weeks of being smoke-free. Guess it's time to build it up again and consume more than bread and water.

I really dislike this dogma. I see people saying stuff like this a lot. It's cool if we have the money and space to collect bits of plastic and paper (and I like physical formats for many of the reasons mentioned in other threads, don't get me wrong), but the music is just as real regardless of what medium it's stored in, and statements like this always strike me as snobby. I'd call my digital stuff at least as secure as my CD collection - it's backed up on two computers, one with a redundant storage array, and most of it is on a massive memory card in my phone as well.
Still working on a list or two to add here.

Thanks, glad to be back! I am incredibly...interested in what's to come in terms of musical/social/... developments. As far as listening to music goes nowadays, I don't have a lot of things to talk about, although there are alwas some hidden treasures to be found.

My son got a Play-Doh set for Christmas. I figured I'd add some excitement to the otherwise mundane (and very brief) existences of the fish and safari animal cutouts that the set came with. One thing led to another.

I was just reading the "What is on your mind" thread where the five of us who have posted in the last 24 hours were lamenting the fact that the forum seems more than half dead. I made a post and then went to browse the who is online list and saw there are something like 79 guest. I guess there is a big stream of folks who just pass by and check things out, but it struck me that it would be nice to hear from some of you. Please consider introducing yourselves, we would be glad to hear from you. I don't know if maybe most of the guests arrive here from search engines, and they were not really looking for any social interaction, but if some were curious about us and cared to participate, now would be a great time. I'll definitely post flowers to anyone who writes an intro-post in the next few days.

A friend's daughter is turning 3 this week. She loves Behemoth. After I'd painted this hoodie for her, I was dismayed to learn not only that these are professionally produced in children's sizes, but that she's already got one. Dammit. So I decided to pimp it out with some extra work. Susie from daycare might also have a Behemoth hoodie, but you can bet your ass it doesn't have a pink sparkly logo with her name on it.
