  1. Uriah Heep @ KOKO, Camden, London / 4th March
  2. That's understandable, but compared to Pyromania, High 'n' Dry is 'very heavy'. Tracks like Let It Go, You Got Me Runnin' and On Through The Night... riffy and meaty.
  3. Egypt - Become The Sun (album, stoner/doom) w7E7ZxxYj0w
  4. Def Leppard's 'High 'n' Dry is probably the last heavy metal album by them.
  5. AC/DC - Powerage The Moody Blues - Octave Ten Years After - Cricklewood Green
  6. They really are my #1 band, was supposed to see them in March last year, the gig was rescheduled to November and eventually cancelled due to Dan's health issues. Was well gutted, hoped to see them live before they die. Loud 'n' Proud is a great album, criminally underrated.
  7. Uhm, well... My first bass was Ibanez GSR200L and I absolutely hated it. It was the cheapest left-handed bass available at the time though. Since then I still use Fender Rumble 25 (cheapest practice amp, I know, gonna try and get something from Orange), but managed to change the bass and got myself Rickenbacker 4001 from '78 with heavier strings (55-110). Magnificent sound.
  8. Their English album 'Metal And Hell'... damn, this is a monster! Would love to listen to a better mix though. Still seeking a good vinyl copy of this beauty. Devil's House I r07ZnWQYGsA
  9. Hello everyone. Just joined this forum to get to know more metal maniacs, a vast majority of my friends are not very much into what I listen to (sadly). I'm 22 from Reading (UK), I'm sure there are few more fellow UK members here. I'm mostly into NWOBHM-era/type, though I listen to a lot more. Saxon is one of very few bands I can listen to every album and enjoy every moment of it and a big fan of them. Saw them live recently in Northampton 2 weeks ago, fantastic set. Anyway... I also listen to lots of other stuff such as blues, hard rock, progressive rock and a bit of jazz and classical. You won't find me in progressive metal section though. Don't know what else I can put here... oh, I also play bass. Hopefully I will stay here for a bit longer. Below there's one of my favourite Saxon tracks. Cheers. ywNXjUpBY8Q
