1. I had quite a few but I saw Tarja on Monday and she was incredible and flawless so i pick her
2. At the moment i love the new Xandria album artwork.
3. yeah, don't bother seeing it, the original is awesome. Just like The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, the original Swedish version was so awesome but the remake was rubbish. Excellent, i really enjoyed the Conjuring. It was fun.
4. REC is awesome, REC 2 was good as well. The American version was pretty much exactly the same as the Spanish version but it wasn't as good.
5. I love Horror, last decent horror movie i saw was probably the Conjuring, i really enjoyed that. Also V/H/S was quite good. It's always good to find decent horror movies cause there are so many bad ones.
6. Amaranthe have 3 vocalists, 2 men and a woman. They are very good. Ankor are pretty good too as well as Nemesea, Leaves Eyes, Trillium, Arven, Sirenia and the bands mentioned in the post above.
7. I agree mostly, they have a few good songs. They didn't used to be dull but they are more interested in fame now i think so are making more mainstream music.
8. Depending on what you like "Maid of Lorraine" is pretty heavy & awesome
9. So this was released this week. I had people tell me oh it’s so much heavier than their last album. I think it’s pretty much the same. I love the songs “Paradise” (but then i don’t think i would like it as much if Tarja wasn’t a guest vocalist) and Silver Moonlight,Let Us Burn is pretty good also but there isn’t really any other song on the album that stands out. I get that Within Temtation are trying to be mainstream to make money but i feel the music just isn’t as good as it used to be. I loved The Heart of Everything album and everything previous to that but the last few albums haven’t been great at all.
10. I wrote the lyrics to this song and had a company in Amerca put music and vocals to it, i then created a video at University for it. Here are the lyrics: I walk this road alone Only to find what’s wrong Running from who I was Captivated by what i am not My mind is blind To the world unknown I can’t find my way home I can’t see I can’t dream I’m left outside Facing the tide Till the end of time This burden is mine Till the end of time This burden is mine Everyday I can’t help but break I always feel this way The tears i can’t wipe away Will it ever change? Will it ever change? One day My dreams are dead In this world unknown Help me find my way home I can’t see I can’t dream I’m left outside Facing the tide Till the end of time This burden is mine Till the end of time this burden, this burden is mine Bridge: Everything I wanted to do Has fallen from my hands Everything I wanted to be Has sunk through the sand I can’t see I can’t dream I’m left outside Facing the tide Till the end of time This burden is mine This the end of time This burden, this burden is mine ---- And here is the full song and video -
11. I wasn’t really into Leaves Eyes until I heard the last 2 albums. The last 2 albums were brilliant, i have seen them live twice since then. They are pretty awesome live. Liv & Alex were also my most random band meeting when I met them at Tottenum Court Road Tube Station in London. “Velvet Heart” and “Maid of Lorraine” are excellent songs.
12. Hey guys, i’m Caz and i’m from the UK near London. I've been a fan of female fronted metal for a very long time but I have like 2 people in my life who have heard of any of the bands i like and i'm getting pretty tired at hearing "you're into bands i've never heard of" or "who's that" so i thought i'd try and find a forum to meet awesome people that are into the same kind of music. So my favourite singer is Tarja Turunen and fave bands include Epica, Old Nightwish (obv although i'm quite happy now Floor has joined), Xandria, Leaves Eyes, Sirenia, After Forever, Amaranthe, Kontrust, Van Canto, Halestorm, Within Temptation, Delain, In This Moment, We Are The Fallen and various others. I’ll also say Kerry Ellis cause her version of “Defying Gravity” from the musical Wicked is pretty epic. Nice to meet you all
13. I'm not sure either but i do love this band. You should check out the song "Monkey Boy". it's so catchy.
