i dont know much abt band setups, but imo bass is equally important like a rhythm guitarist, since it gives a steady base to the songs being played. i know rhythm guitar dominates the song, but bass is what makes the song. listen to some of the famous bassists like steve harris, the late cliff burton, ian hill. they take songs to the next level. its like having bullets without a gun if u get what i mean....hahaha!

hi man, welcome and enjoy urself. one question, do u use a pick or use fingers while playing bass? -just curious since one friend of mine who plays bass says its hard to do finger-picking.

parents can do these things sometimes. i dont blame them coz they r just looking out for u. thankfully my dad is a rock-lover himself, he used to listen to GNR with me playing on his lap during my childhood hahaha. so he never had a problem of me listening to rock/metal. but he has a problem with me watching porn haaha... so here's what i did. just burnt all my vids on cd and dvd and just watch when he's not around. u can do the same and mix the cd with other cds or keep it hidden somehwere(i keep it hidden in my clothes drawer since i wash my own clothes). anyways have a nice day keep rockin!metal4ever!

ozzy is way over-rated imo. dio has a beautiful voice. dio changed sabbath!!!

di'anno's punky voice certainly suited maiden. wish he wasnt fired. we wud have had all the remaing albums in his voice hahaha. bayley has a dark-type of voice not suited for maiden, but there r still some fav songs like the clansman, dont talk to starngers, and even educated fool. beautiful singing!

all maiden albums(including bayley's) rock!!! no comparison to any band except priest!!!

ronnie james dio!!! he's the only one whose vocal range didnt change in the slightest during his whole career. but yeah rob's voice is amazing aptly called the "metalgod". bruce has lost his beautiful voice that he had for all the 80s albums. he strains too much now nonetheless he can still sing way better than the newbs nowadays.

judas priest all d way...rob has a very good voice....lemmy sounds like he strains too much while singing.

i'd say Stained Class from stained class album, delivering the goods and lots...it hard to pin-point the songs u like. judas priest r an inspiration!!! all songs rock.... specially their debut "rocka rolla" album- Never Satisfied .it has a killer riff!!!!

where's piece of mind? my god it has some killer riffs in songs like revelations, die with ur boots on, to tame a land wow! a real masterpiece that album. same goes for killers, their debut "iron maiden" album, brave new world, molad.....u knw what? fuck it!!! i love all Maiden albums...i cant decide which one's the best hahaha!! UP THE IRONS!!!!!!
