  1. Re: Beer/Ale/Lager Appreciation Thread My favorite mixing rum is Brugal. I like the dark (añejo) version, but that might be a little sweet for coke, maybe the silver would be better.
  2. Come hang out in NYC, we'll go visit the Arms And Armor exhibit at the Met.
  3. Re: What Are You doing? (Picture Version) Local storage is always better, I wish I had more backed up than I do.
  4. Re: Rate and Slate I suppose I'm used to it. I've had several friends from Mass and have visited there many times in the past 14 years, although I only started hanging out in Boston proper after I got married - my wife went to school up there and loves it. I'd definitely characterize it as more polite overall. NYC is pretty impersonal. Even the cheap areas are expensive, there's almost never any peace to be had, and everyone's constantly on edge. It's like being crammed into a huge machine with a bunch of strangers. It has its charm.
  5. Re: What's on your mind? Good luck. My nipple piercing never healed. The first one, I took out after three years; it just wouldn't work out. I tried it again on two separate occasions and had no better luck. Similar issue with my tongue, it never stopped hurting. All I have left now is a couple of earrings, just waiting for my son to rip those out...
  6. I did listen to the song you posted - for some reason I thought I replied about it, but it turns out I didn't... I like his tone. The music was a little monotonous. I'll listen to it again with fresh ears, but it honestly didn't grab me the first time around. Did you check out the Saul Williams and EL-P videos I put up? Familiar with those guys at all?
  7. Nice! I love Lagunitas but I haven't tried that one, what is it? I'm currently drinking a Bell's Two Hearted Ale, great IPA from Michigan.
  8. Hi!! Welcome to the Forum!! Computer In Your Face!!
  9. On my mind - well, I'm saving up to have my older album professionally mastered so it holds up better to the new one. But how far is too far? I recorded Ingrate between six and eight years ago; it seeing the light of day in 2011 was almost arbitrary. It was recorded so sporadically, wherever I was living at the time, that the sounds are all over the place. And so I've taken it upon myself to re-record some guitars and vocals that aren't up to my current standards. At this point it's almost a new recording rather than a remaster. It's going quickly, and I'm really happy with the improved sound, but I wonder if I shouldn't just be moving on.
  10. Just had to quote this... first Chino's voice "oozes sex" and now you're a fan of "Manson's package". It keeps getting better!
  11. Re: Nu Metal (Yes/no) Ah, I was talking about Afterbirth!
  12. Re: Nu Metal (Yes/no) I'm glad you reminded me. I listened to a couple tracks earlier tonight. There were some cool riffs in there. The vocals were a little burpy for my taste. But I bet they'll be great live. It's more slammy than I thought you'd be into.
  13. It was the Broken Hope connection that I was trying to remember, hah! I never heard Oppressor.
  14. All this talking about hip-hop got me in a mood... Atmosphere - God Loves Ugly Atmosphere - Lucy Ford
  15. Some pretty cool guitar work on that album.
  16. Heh, no worries, I think I found out by accident by quoting someone's posted video or something. It wasn't the same on the other forums I was on.
  17. BTW, Chaos - if you're having trouble with posting youtube links, it's the word "youtube" inside the [] brackets, and then the unique number - not the whole URL, just jZY02q_p0, or whatever - and then /youtube inside the [] brackets. Hope that helps...
