  1. Queens of the Stone Age - Rated R
  2. Yup. That's what it came in. Tesco does it too! Very satisfying and it looks ace! Just finished a spiced red ale by Sharp's brewery. Sweet red fruit, caramel, coriander, Belgian yeast flavour. 9% abv. Bloody marvelous! Now drinking a Simply Golden Ale brewed for Tesco by Marston's. Not a complex flavour, but as generic English bitter goes, it's pretty good shit. Really refreshing, with a nice hop character and, interestingly enough, a slightly wine-ish taste. Not outstanding, but good nonetheless.
  3. Drinking a Greenwich English whisky barrel aged ale, brewed for Tesco by Meantime brewery. This is fucking awesome. A little peaty, a vanilla sweetness, surprisingly very crisp and light-bodied for a porter, too. Extremely smooth and quaffable. These guys are definitely one of my favourite English breweries.
  4. Machine Head - Bloodstone & Diamonds Cheers for that, Macabre.
  5. Okay, so maybe 'enjoying the crap out of this' is a bit of an exaggeration, but as far as pleasant, middle-of-the-road stuff goes, this really ain't bad at all.
  6. Bloc Party - Silent Alarm Dunno if it's the funny mood I'm in as modern British indie rock/pop is generally a pet hate of mine, but I'm enjoying the crap out of this.
  7. Have A Nice Life - Deathconsciousness
  8. Behemoth - The Satanist I think it's the greater black metal influence and surprisingly infectious melodies that make this shit so good.
  9. I understand not liking Behemoth, but to objectively label them as 'excrement' is a little harsh, I feel. I thought The Satanist was a fucking phenomenal piece of work, and it's not even the sort of thing I tend to go for that much.
  10. Just polished off a Rochefort 8. Not as intense as 10, my personal favourite, but makes up for it in drinkability, and it's still pretty complex and flavourful, with notes of chocolate, toffee, scotch, orange, raisins. Great brew!
  11. The one Converge album that hasn't really clicked with me so far.
  12. Surprised you like Nevermind tbh, FA. Thought it'd be too basic and poppy for your tastes. NP: Isis - Oceanic
  13. Nirvana - Nevermind If there's a better collection of aggressive pop songs with guitars out there, I'd love to hear it.
  14. Deftones - Koi No Yokan White Pony will always be my personal favourite, but objectively speaking, I think there's a very good case for this being their best album. The consistency, the hooks, the seamless flow, the hooks, the vocals, the hooks. Mesmerizing.
  15. Alice in Chains - The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here
  16. The drum sound alone on that thing is fucking incredible, probably the best I've ever heard! My no. 1 album of last year, no doubt.
