I actually realised my Game Pass that I already have for Xbox covers me for online - I just didn't know. Went on last night for about an hour. Kind of agree on the ability to avoid others (enabling passive mode is a gift that keeps on giving) but there's still far too much going on for me with all the notifications and invites to gangs and stuff (need to look at how those can be disabled) and in the end I just got naffed off and logged off as it was sending my anxiety levels way up. Will revisit once I have finished work for the holidays and I don't then go from a day of answering phone calls and emails to a virtual world of the same that evening.

Thanks for the update, sounds promising and I may invest in online via my Xbox or PS5 in the near future.

I have never really been a fan of the idea of GTA Online - I just don't want to interact with other players as I find gaming a much more personal experience. Is it possible to just be in online and go about your business like you can in the main game? I accept that there are a lot more toys to play with as it were in the online option but just am not interested in the co-op option overall.

I hear you brother, it has been a familiar plague for me in recent years (although not on the scale that you describe). Brother-in-law has some severe physical and mental health issues and so supporting him sort of makes my issues more manageable. Glad you are on the recovery road and thanks for sharing.

It was a lot easier than I thought it would be in all honesty, even the reverse park at the end. Got a couple of laps sitting upright out of the tank and then one prone inside it as if in conflict with the hatch closed which was mental. The missus was up in the turret firing giant paintballs which helped her stress levels no end.

I have been to the distillery and done the tour many moons ago and it was a decent afternoon out from memory. Thought it was the same weekend we stayed in a yurt and I got to drive a tank but that was a completely different year in Leicestershire not Norfolk where the EWC are. The EWC tour was not as manufactured an experience as the Edinburgh one at the top of the Royal Mile - which I still have done twice regardless. I drink less nowadays though so my interest has waned. I also drive less tanks.

Mine does the job. Not into my cars, just got it because it gets me from a to b and I have the luxury of owning it outright. There’s some fuckwittery going on in that it is only classed as a 1.1 litre but has a turbo in it so drives like a 1.6 and there’s also a “sport” button that for some reason means it can go even faster if I push it. You sir need to visit the English Whisky Company. Everything else in England is shit though.

So, I am 47 and shave my hair short as I am going bald anyway (hairline recedes faster than my bank balance). I also live in Merseyside although I am a) not a scouser and b) not called Phil and c) drive an Astra so I am not you I can confirm. Don’t be fooled by all those lot who have posted here before me. They are all dicks I can confirm.

Assumption - Hadean Times (2022) After 5 or 6 listens to the new Thantifaxath I gave up trying to get under the skin of it. I think it sets its stall out too early and so I have no sense of build, just forcibly immersed into its mesmerising depths from the off. Even my best Oranssi Pazuzu, BAN and Jute Gyte listening hats cannot fathom this one.
