There's a nice blend of technical wizardry and straight up chugging DM in the Gorguts discog. The earlier you go the less technical it is. The debut "Considered Dead" is a perfectly reputable DM record. From "Obscura" onwards things get a bit more mental on the technical front and their latest two blow my fucking mind.

First day in my new role tomorrow which unfortunately means a trip to London. Leaving the girlfriend to look after herself tomorrow. I have lost count of how many times today I have had to tell her to sit down and stop doing things, to combat her turning her recovery back a few days whilst on her own tomorrow I have asked my mother to visit for an hour to make sure she is not stretching herself too much. The family friend I mentioned has taken a turn for the worse overnight and has been moved now to a specialist neurosurgery unit at another hospital with a view to trying to remove the blood clot via surgery.

Had an odd experience last night where none of my whiskey tasted right. Tried it with or without coke and still no good.

Normal tea. Tea in a mug with a splash of milk (skimmed) one in the morning if not working at home otherwise 2 or 3 in the morning and one mid afternoon. Never seen the point of any other tea, although the girlfriend is an advocate of green tea and peppermint tea also. I rarely pay for teabags though, because (until recently) I lived in hotels I would just pilfer their supplies that they left in my room each day and bring them home. Other than normal tea I mostly drink beer and whiskey.

I too prefer "Tomb..." as their best album (and my "in" record for the band). Last year I got hold of "Kill" which although miles away from the strongest material they have done is still a perfectly fun DM record. A real plug in n play record.
