  1. More than 10 but on an unexpected day off from work (why did I book leave today??) so this is me most of today: 1, Mastodon "Oblivion" 2, Wolves In The Throne Room "Face In A Night Time Mirror Part 1" 3, Ceremonial Castings "Barbaric Is The Beast" 4, Death Fortress "King's Blood" 5, Miles Davis "Blue In Green" 6, Bathory "For All Those Who Died" 6, The Prodigy "Climbatize" 7, Iron Maiden "No Prayer For The Dying" 8, Megadeth "Bad Omen" 9, Emperor "The Wanderer" 10, WASP "The Neutron Bomber" 11, Ghoul "Brain Jerk" 12, Inquisition "Obscure Verses For The Multiverse" 13, Anthrax "Indians" 14, Bolt Thrower "Laid To Waste" 15, Black Sabbath "Planet Caravan" 16, Crimson GLory "Heart Of Steel" 17, Machine Head "Be Still And Know" 18, Crom Dubh "Kings I" 19, Tsjuder "Fra En Ratten Kiste" 20, Falls Of Rauros "Banished"
  2. It was a strong year - could have added just as long a "honourable mentions" list.
  3. Septic Flesh "Titan" Gorguts "Considered Dead" Naga "Inanimate"
  4. MacabreEternal's Top Ten Albums of 1996 10. Adramelech "Psychostasia" Finnish DM at its very best, heavy and technical at the same time. 9. Bethlehem "Dictus te Necare" Simply fucking bonkers, with tormented and tortured vocals that are enough to send anyone into mental health services. 8.Mercyful Fate "Into The Unknown" One of the most overlooked MF albums for me. Has a real aggressive and raw feel to it. 7.Opeth "Morningrise" This where things start to get proggy for Opeth, some excellent lead work on this record too. 6. Blut Aus Nord "Memoria Vetusta I: Fathers of the Icy Ages" Icy cold and mystical at the same time. Such a powerful and emotive record for me. 5.Gorgoroth "Antichrist" I've seen this album get panned as being "ordinary" but I think it is as fetid and grim as you could ever want BM to be. 4. Sacramentum "Far Away From The Sun" Always lauded for the melody but just as important is how cold and dark this sounds at the same time. 3. Burzum "Filosofem" One of Varg's more captivating releases for me. There's a very clever use of repetition throughout the record which makes the progression of tracks go almost unnoticed at times. 2. Cryptopsy "None So Vile" One of the albums that truly redefined extremity, what we have here ladies and gentlemen is 32 minutes of superb and challenging death metal. 1. Immolation "Here In After" Top spot claimed by this absolute monster of a DM record. The riff of the title track alone is enough to contort your very being into some writhing and shapeless mass! Hands down Immolation's finest hour!
  5. I laughed out loud at your Facebook reference to your risotto.
  6. Rotting Christ "Thy Mighty Contract"

    Death

Still don't own a Death album.
  8. Everything 95 through 07 plus a bonus CD of demos, remixes and unreleased stuff.
  9. You're the only country who has come forward so far and offered to do a trade deal. Brexit campaigners are wetting themselves.
  10. Me in a good mood earlier today. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  11. That's the frightening thing, he is sober when he says these things/does mental things. Stuff like shoulder barging a child in a rugby match is second nature to him, he has no thought process behind any of the things he says or does. If it computes right in his brain and fits within the boundaries of his ego then it must right according to Boris. I got into many protracted debates on Faceache with Brexit supporters who were calling for him to be the next Prime Minister. Oddly though his ego didn't compute that as being a good move so he ruled himself out and then of course got picked as Foreign Secretary by Margaret Thatcher. Sorry, I meant Theresa May. Easy mistake to make. I suppose we should be grateful Jimmy Saville is dead or I suppose he would have been Minister for Children. After Mags May got rid of the Climate Change department I am fully expecting it to be replaced with a Holocaust Denial Division.
  12. The whole Brexit issue would be better resolved this way I tell you.
  13. Coffin Dust "Ancient Rites of Buried Evil" - stoopid DM vocals that just make me smile over great riffs. Bathory "The Return..." Negativa "Untitled I" - as atmospheric and as black as you like.
