  1. Two is enough for me. The times we have nearly ended up with a third but I know that's the floodgates open and everytime I come home the gf would have added another one!
  2. Russian Circles "Guidance" Sumac "What One Becomes" Old Man Gloom "No" Death Angel "The Ultra-Violence" Death Angel "Frolic Through The Park"
  3. I am going to create a playlist for my cat - great idea for a thread!
  4. Now, now we all know I ain't married!
  5. Spent most of tonight trying to rescue a shrew that the cat brought in but was only interested in playing with it instead of killing it. Took me 3 hours but eventually caught it in a cereal box and released it outside back into the wild. ****Thumps chest with fists, O' Mighty Friend of the Animal Kingdom****
  6. Chepang "Lahti Charge" Nepalese immigrants living in the US dropping some nice grindcore along with some nods to powerviolence and crust along the way.
  7. Alcest "BBC Live Session" Cannibal Corpse "Eaten Back To Life" Void Omnia "Dying Light" Svffer "Lies We Live" Somnium Nox "Apocrypha"
  8. Okay, that makes sense, but I still think the existing thread boxes it off nicely still and it supports an actual narrative as to why these albums are so important. Now don't get me wrong if there's anyone on here who loves a good list it is me (call me Listy McListy from the village of Listy Willow in the vale of Listyville on the island of Listopolis). However, I spent a lot of time yesterday viewing dead forums and blogs that just wrote lists! Far more interesting (and perhaps more importantly - active) blogs/forums actually pack some rationale behind their choices. I admit that I am hardly feeding the board with a mass of opinion and material in the "1001" thread but I feel it is still by far a thread with real potential if we just use it. If you have a selection of albums that have inspired you as an artist/musician then surely all the more reason to but them in the "1001" thread. Danger is of course when JBaker returns again and posts a System of a Down record in there! Anyway, just my thoughts/musings and I am not trying to become the forums very own "Thread Policeman", just putting things out there.
  9. New Alcest track "Oiseaux de Proie"
  10. It is hard to tell you without telling you the whole plot and ruining it. You really just have to watch it. Sketchy theme would be conspiracy theory/kidnap/chemical warfare?? I am not helping I know!
  11. Temple Nightside "The Hecatomb" Despite this being far from a terrible release it is nothing more than a rework of a tired sound. The cavernous and incoherent aspects of this "squiddy/squally" DM sound are now starting to tire on even my extreme bumming earholes. There's a little bit more going on here though which is why this got three plays before I made my mind up. For a start it is a tighter performance than most proponents of this loose and untechnical style and it has a very distinct, ritualistic edge. It is worth a spin but even the "cleaner" aspects don't separate it from the murk by enough distance for it to be anything different.
  12. Mastodon "Crack The Skye" - here's a first, I woke up with "Oblivion" rattling around my head.
  13. Being a nurse is tiring! Plus this dress really chafes my thighs.
