  1. There's so much win on "Empire" it is unreal. I actually prefer it to "..Mindcrime" (and I like that too). I came to it before "..Mindcrime" though which has probably helped it, the only track I skip is "Della Brown" otherwise I sing along like a 13 year old at a Beiber concert to every track on there! NP: Diabolical Masquerade "Nightwork"
  2. "Towel" my arse! He was leaping from the wardrobe onto the bed and mid pike he rotated counter-clockwise (easily done - we've all been there) instead of clockwise and missed the bed.
  3. The gf just asked me for some of my music as she is finally growing out of 80s pop music. Playing it safe with "Transcendence" by Crimson Glory to see how she fairs with that as she likes Queensryche and I am trying to link up from there and the nearest thing in my library is Crimson Glory.
  4. Ritual Chamber "Obscurations..."
  5. Killer Instinct "Satanico Pandemonium"
  6. Okay, this is meant to be constructive criticism so please take it in the context it is meant. That track was really, really dull. You basically loop the same riff progression for 4 and a half minutes. There's no variety, no time change, no attempt at giving the listener something different (even if only for a few seconds). There isn't even any lead work which makes me wonder if you are a band with (some members at least) still learning to play? Vocally though is where I think the strength in the track lies. The vocals are the only part I remember after the track finishes playing you just need to shape the rest of your sound to have some variety in it. Doesn't have to be amazing sonics either, just chop it up a bit more.
  7. Just went upstairs and found literally 15 wasps buzzing around up there. Had to shut all windows and returned with a can of repellent and dove around the bedroom like Bruce Willis in a Die Hard film blasting the stingy bastards. The consequence of this is that I "ate" a significant quantity of aforementioned repellent and now am finding it hard to breath as well as being quite light headed. Chemical highs are bad kids.
  8. Diabolical Masquerade "Nightwork"
  9. Diabolical Masquerade "Ravendusk in my Heart"
  10. Dissection "Storm of the Light's Bane"
  11. Will check em out this week as should be at home most of the week. NP: Gruesome "Dimensions of Horror"
  12. Yeah there are some strong bits on "Ravendusk" but the theatrics in the vocal department aren't really necessary but I like the dark feel to proceedings on the whole.
  13. So Matt Harvey's side project of total and unashamed Death worship has just knocked out release number two in a year. "Dimensions of Horror" is an EP as opposed to last year's full length "Savage Land" but I have to say that I find it really entertaining. Despite the obvious bumming of Death (even the font on the logo is the same) I find Gruesome just really fun to listen to, there's more to it than the sound just pandering to the listener's Leprosy and Scream Bloody Gore nostalgia. There is also an exploration of Florida DM styles in general, however I am not sure how many records this can go on for?
  14. Seen these guys come up a lot on your posts. Checking this out now.
  15. Gruesome "Dimensions of Horror" Chastain "For Those Who Dare"
  16. They aren't crap, but they just have no spark. They strike me as very average, alternative band.
  17. I tried "A Senile Animal". Still don't get the appeal. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  18. Fooking hell. "Left Hand Path" is 26 years old. That makes me feel old! Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  19. It was great to see a public building still being "public" and not looking like a sad Tory ravaged version of it's former glorious self. Impressed with the cultural side of Liverpool today, been a few times for work and leisure purposes but only seen it's real appeal today. 30 mins drive away too.
  20. Picton Reading Room, Liverpool Central Library. Museum of Liverpool Weather turned out glorious today and we actually came back to our room to enjoy the dockland views of the city. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  21. Apparently I am still a serious contender for the post despite the guff highlighted above. At the point now where I just want to know so I can make a decision and get on with life either way.
