  1. Hope she is okay RO. I am currently running on 2 hours sleep in the past 38 or so hours after i had to get an ambulance to take my girlfriend to hospital at 2am this morning. She is still in having various tests so no idea what the issue is at present. She was sat in a corridor in the emergency department for 13 hours though thanks to our wonderfully overworked and under-funded health care system.
  2. Flicking through back issues of some mags I unearthed upstairs earlier and have a few quotes that made me smile: "I don't run around the streets setting priests on fire." - Athenar, Midnight "If you don't like a band anymore, just find something else to listen to." Fenriz, Darkthrone "Without 13th Century Italian Dance Music, we wouldn't have Summoning" Obsequiae "...our music is not easily digested by the brainless masses." Voltaire 666, Deiphago "People think Satan's cool and he's your friend, but he's not your friend...." Victor Griffin "...I can't simply live off of praise and Facebook likes." David DiSanto, Vektor
  3. All you can do is try, maybe it isn't too late, maybe it is but that's irrelevant really. The point is you're trying, you're being responsible pet owners and giving a vital part of your family a chance to carry on being part of your family. Whatever happens you can hold your heads high and take solace from the fact that you did your best and did right by her.
  4. This sucks big time! Poor kitty, hope she recovers.
  5. I am working my way through their discography in order (for once) but I have heard good things about "Sanojesi.." NP Sun Worship "Pale Dawn" - this passed me by somehow but I have just located it safely in my Bandcamp wishlist. Strong follow up to "Elder Giants".
  6. Horna "Haudenkylmydden Mailla" Skid Row "Slave To The Grind" - probably lost on most of you "kvlt" motherfuckers on here but I actually find this a lot more appealing nowadays than back in the day when it first dropped. Some solid tracks let down only by the filer that floats around them. Celestial Grave "Burial Ground Trance"
  7. This again. One thing that stands out is how mixed a bag it really is. It starts really strong but then track 4 is like a half arsed rehearsal attempt that they try to pass off as being "truuu" or "kvlt" which I really fucking hate. A shit track is a shit track, being a BM band doesn't grace you the authority to clog an album up with bilge! Anyway, thankfully the album picks up again from the mid-point onwards and vocally I think it is a strong effort. The album needs a trim most definitely but still is a solid progression from the previous release.
  8. Horna "Haudankylmyyden Mailla" - been meaning to add this to my collection after spending a few hours with the debut full length and being very much peaked interest wise into furthering my Horna collection. Certainly starts strong anyways as I listen now. Ulcerate "The Coming of Genocide" - this a freebie on Bandcamp at present from the band page. I had heard it slated before today for being too raw and showing little if any of the promise that has come to fruition in recent releases. However, whilst it is only demo it shows plenty promise to these (battered) ears. Certainly worth a download for free anyways.
  9. Some friends bought me some "novelty" ales for my birthday and I smiled politely and put them at the back of the fridge hoping the beer fairies would take them. Sadly today I had to break into them. 2 out of the 4 made the drain after a couple of mouthfuls. Sticky Toffee Pudding Ale and Pendle Witches Brew were the victims in question. Top Totty Ale despite having a fucking ridiculous name was palatable. I genuinely can't remember the first one I had. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  10. All alcohol should come with a disclaimer like that.
  11. Ulcerate "The Coming Of Genocide"
  12. Passed out on Thursday night after this and a few other delicacies. Nicholson's Pale Ale which was my main pint whilst out most days. Quite citrus on the taste buds which I normally don't like but this was smooth and lightly hoppy too. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  13. Not sure now what this actually was. It was in National Museum of Scotland under the Belize section. I love it though, so hellish and clunky a piece. Not a boat, an actual banqueting bowl that holds three hundred litres of....erm...food! Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  14. Celestial Grave "Burial Ground Trance" Nice primitive BM - Natassja will probably dig this.
  15. Back from Edinburgh and am completely exhausted as we must have covered miles on foot. So relaxed and chilled out right now after a fantastic week with the girlfriend and no work for another week yet also. Loads of photos taken at the National Museum of Scotland that I will get around to uploading in the relevant thread as well as a few beers to add to that particular thread also. Bought no music whilst I was away despite some decent record shops being discovered I just didn't want anything, in fact barring Opeth one night this week I haven't really listened to any metal all week. Sure that will change now I am back at home!
  16. A former work colleague of mine does Krav Maga. Cool story me. Welcome aboard.
  17. It has some fancy £100 a dish restaurant in the basement (which we didn't eat in), but it is far more fitting as a hotel. Some great decor and odd ornaments. Costs a fucking bomb though so probably a one off. Great location next to Edinburgh Castle. My girlfriend did me proud for my 40th.
