Hello - apologies if I'm in the wrong category here (I'm new !) but anyone else looking forward to this ? As much as I enjoyed "Beginning of Times" I did feel it was a little bit of a step back from Skyforger & Silent Waters, especially after watching/listening to the brilliant Forging the Land of a Thousand Lakes DVD/CD. Caught the "Hopeless Days" video (well lyrics only) and I thikn this could be a full on return to form - not that "Beginnings of Time" was bad - far from from it - but just not quite there. So pre-order it might have to be - although in the UK it'll be Amazon as Nuclear Blast's shipping is mental. Probably going to go for the CD/DVD pack. Anyone else ?

Hello all - finally got round to joining and sorting out my profile. I found out about this place after I'd tweeted something about how Nightwish sounded like Abba ... don't shoot me ! Looks like a good place to find new music - the UK is not exactly awash with radio/TV & the metal related media seem to write with a pretty poor reading age in mind. Musically I like a huge variety of stuff - really enjoy modern folk (Iain Morrison, Sara Watkins, SethLakeman come to mind). On the heavy side huge fan of Amorphis, love Emperor's later stuff, Hypocrisy, Turisas, Djerv - tend to be more into the melodic side rather than out and out full on blast fests. There's definitely a lot of good stuff coming out of Norway/Finland. Bit of all round hippy and nature lover & ecology geek - aiming to get a small holding together in the next few years. So anyway, looking forward to getting to know you all & finding some great new music. Oh and very excited about Unisonic as well ! \m/
