  1. I studied religion for a while the first course we took was toghether with the theology class. I meet many great people, both Christians, Jews and Muslims, But also some with a more Hindu or Buddhist approach. I had no trouble with anyone until one of out teachers one day wrote God with huge letters on the whiteboard and told us to speak the first that came to our minds. I said: - Oppressor. And suddenly I made myself enemy's. Some refused to speak to me after that. I try my best to be open minded, but I also treat people the way they treat me.
    LOL!!! Way to go!
  2. Severely Underrated/Underappreciated albums Hi, I have been looking online for a few albums that I think that are highly underrated. I came across a few but one that does come to mind is Rottrevore "Inquisotors"! If your into classic Asphyx influenced death/doom. They are the way to go! I have a few more albums to reccomend, but cant remember off the top head! Does anyone has any album recommendations of all styles that they want to share?

  3. Must be a lot of adolescents on this forum. Unless you are paying monthly dues, and going through hell to earn full patched jackets. I don't see why any of u will care about what outsiders think of your music! I don't even call myself a Metalhead even though I might dress the part and collect a lot of music and shirts. I'm a human being who is an avid metal fan!

  4. In much the same way that when my younger brother says "you'll like this new death metal band" and puts on some poppish metalcore garbage I become rather annoyed. Resorting to playing actual death metal to highlight the difference simply does not work. More frustrating however is that he calls all that music' date=' and metal, crap most of the time and only pretends to like it in certain company.[/quote'] He just know any better. U can't fault anyone for not understanding. If he is interested. Teach him the difference.
  5. But doesn't it become irritating when people wrongly label you as "emo" or lump non-metal bands into the wrong category?
Thats a high school mentality. Everybody in high school wants to be labels you as something. Im a fully grown man. I get tons of people label me as a biker because I wear black bandanas and vests full of metal patches. I just tell them Im not riding Harley's yet but like them. Ive had people lump the music I listen to as emo. I just tell them Im not into those bands. That is all.
  6. I never did like that video from Infidel becuase he looks like he is in his mid 30's, and trying to look cool for the younger people! He comes off as very immature to me sometimes. If your into metal, punk, emo,...Thats good for you! Want a pat on the back or something? Im not going to knock any scene of any kind at all anymore. I used to when I was younger. But I realize, that all sub cultures share so many similarities that it doesnt matter. In the end, if you are worried about posers. Or anyone for that matter. You are indeed insecure.

  7. I hope the "post" trend dies off soon. Post-Hardcore, Post-Punk, Post-Metal, Post-Rock, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah..... I am not denying there are bands out there that do "post" well but the scene (hate that word - will flog myself in the yard later for using it) is just swamped with them. It borders on Death Metal bands that sound like Incantation in it's incredulity at times. I was told a nu-metal revival was under way but thankfully it was a lie or I have managed to bury my head in the sand long enough to miss it altogether. Djent is not my cup of tea at all - it just doesn't sit right with me, like a dinner that won't digest. I'd like to see more power metal revived personally and some proper cock-rock/glam metal too.
Yeah the whole "post" thing is for a bunch of hipsters trying to be metal! What's next? Post post?
  8. Not particularly' date=' it just seems really strange that they don't do it for you. Especially if you like Nazxul, their sound is very much modeled after Emperor's.[/quote'] I will have to give them a listen!
  9. I love the classic Norwegian bands for being so original and amazing at doing it. Don't really listen to much black metal besides the classics: Venom' date=' Emperor, Immortal, Bathory, Celtic Frost, Mayhem, Darkthrone, Dark Funeral, Enslaved, Satyricon, Mercyful Fate/King Diamond, Carpathian Forest[/quote'] When it comes to black metal. All I listen to are the classic bands also. Black metal has far too many copycats! Also, I dont see how King Diamond could possibly be considered black metal since his music sounds nothing like black metal! I understand the satan lyrics he conveys and the face paint, but I wouldnt consider it black metal.
  10. In my opinion "Battle Metal" is not even near to a real genre. As many of us probably know it all started when Turisas released theis album "Battle Metal" and people started calling their music that. To me it only seems like another unnecassary term for folk metal. The music is great, I think. But do we really need to call it battle metal, we already have 'viking' and folk metal. What do you think, do you consider it a real genre?
Intresting. I have never heard of battle metal. Where did this come from?
  11. Hmm, that seems akin to garnishing dog shit with bacon. You haven't made the dog shit look or taste any better, so all that you've done is waste and soil your bacon. Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2
LOL! Halford must have been payed a lot of money to be featured on their album!
  12. Actually used ebay for the first time in my life and bought 6 patches that are going on to my denim vest. They were Mgla, Craft, Sarcofago, Horna and Deströyer 666 with just the logo. And the werewolf emblem from Satanic Warmaster.
Awesome! Ive dodged e bay for the longest! Is it easy to use? Do you have to bid just to get what you want? How does it work?
  13. love that album' date=' it's truly excellent[/quote'] Yes! Its a great album from start to finish! Their latest album is really good. Love how they do the riffs! You like any black/thrash bands Relentless?
