    Death

Kinda of Agnostic but my mindset is even if there is no afterlife there is still your legacy. All the good and crappy things you ever did, how they changed people for the better or worse, etc. That being said, honestly my guess would be in some sense living with your descisions in life, you create your personel hell or heaven through your own actions. Obvisouly no way to verify that but I kinda of live by that mindset for the simple fact that even if there is nothing in the afterlife you can at least feel some sense of peace near the end.
  2. meant how to play tech-death sorry about the poor wording
  3. I just recently started listening to some technical death metal, arsis, neuraxis, and gojira. I can't find any lessons on technical death metal, really any appreciate and help with finding any lessons on tech death
  4. It sort of depends on what you mean by metal( I know that sounds weird). I think things like glam metal will never be popular again, thank you god 'cause that music is rubbish, but people are always trying to capitlize on a niche and pervet to make money again going back to the truly aweful glam metal. But then again this is sort of my observation when they do something like that it provokes more aggressive music, I mean if you go to youtube and type Lars Ulrich Talks About Motley Crue. GLAM vs Thrash, James Hetfield even says that they hated glam and it sorta helped them with creating their style because they just couldn't stand that music.
  5. Might be wrong but I think Neuraxis is technical death, I just started listening to it and they were the only ones I could think of besides Arsis
  6. Hey ladies and gents just saw that GuitarCenter is now offering Broderick's signature seven haven't seen it on there before even though the guitar has been out for I think a year or so, my computer hasn't always been the most efficient so it could have been up for awhile I didn't see it before. Any case I was curious if anybody has played that guitar before? what was your take on it?
  7. These are the songs on my list, can't really come with an effective order to them because sometimes I feel one is sadder than the other and then later it does feel as sad, eh one can I say. I know somebody is going to bash me for putting The Burning Red from Machine Head since that album was nu-metal but that song was honestly the best song off the album not mention sad Iced Earth-I Died For You Megadeth- Darkest Hour Metallica- Sad But True Evile- In Memoriam Machine Head- The Burning Red
  8. I remeber when I was reading about the new singer for Iced Earth, Stu Block, it said that he is a self described hybrid vocalist meaning that he takes several different styles of singing and incorporates them into his music. I found that on wikipedia so not exactly certain how reliable that is but that kinda of got me thinking of singers that I really like and how cool it would be to hear them incorporate those different styles of singing. Don't have any experience in singing and my knowledge of singers are limited but the two best combinations that I could think of would be Matt Barlow's vocals and Randy Blythe's vocals. The other combination that I was thinking was David Drainman's and James Malone from Arsis. what do you, ladies and gents think would be the best hybrid of vocal styles
  9. [youtube I saw this and I notice some other company makes the guitars out of aluminum, I not the best when it comes to tech issues with guitars and things like that, how does making the guitar out of steel or metal affect the sound, also since it is made of metal and steel what would have to do to prevent it from rusting?
  10. Hey ladies and gets I wanted to get advice on a good 8 sting guitar pickup can't say that I like the idea of the EMG 808, I would rather play an eight string version of the EMG 81x but I know that doesn't exist. But does anybody have some eights tring pickups that they would recommend?
  11. Hey guys sorta of new to playing guitar and I know more about how to play than I do about guitar specs and what they are suppose to mean. So can I ask you gents what does the scale affect the sound of the guitar? I thought choosing the higher gauges of strings would help with lower tunning, does the scale help as well or does if have some other affect like better harmonics, etc?
  12. Hey guys I was curious if you any of guys have used the sustainiac before I heard a small bit about and from what I have heard of it sounds like it not only helps sustain the notes that you play but can be toggled to a harmonic mode which allows the notes that you play to start sounding more like harmonics even if you play the note normal. My only problem that I have with it, and I might have misread this so if somebody has experience with the sustainiac my bad, is that it sounds like it will take a space on the guitar like a pickup and not like lets say a killswitch, so I would have to remove a pickup to plug it in. Does anybody know of any alternative sustainers or a way around the problem with the sustainiac?
  13. Hey fellow metal heads, I just read that Adam Deuce is no longer a member of Machine Head and that they are suppose to have a new album later this year. Who do you think is going to be the new bass guitarist? DO you think that the new bass guitarist will contribute to the new album or do you think that the bass guitarist will be join after the album is completed?
  14. Hey ladies and gents, I am saving up for the Schecter Hellwin amp, always been a fan of Synyster Gates and have to say that some of the features that I heard about that amp are really cool for example it has the focus feature for 7 string and 8 string guitars. Given that I am trying to get an 8 string guitar it would be good for me but it also has a special feature for active pickups as well which is also great. Here is a video about it,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCE5A7eYQok. Anyway I wanted to know if anybody got to try this amp out and what their take on it. I like the idea of the amp and all but want to be careful after all it is one of Schecter's very first amps so no idea what the true quality of the amp really is, just this sound bite, and I would rather have a better feel for it first

    Hello

I am 23 years old, have been listening to metal for about five years, just starting to play guitar again but trying to learn to play metal instead of classical this time. Saving up to get my first electric guitar, would greatly appreciate it if anybody can name some metal bands with great rhythms and/or leads, trying to look for inspiration for playing. Any metal bands as long as it is not rap metal, only sub genre that I don't like. I want to be one of those guitarists who not only can they shred but also play truly sicks riffs as well. Other than trying to get back into shape for Rugby so I have started doing powerlifting and Olympic lifting as well. What can I listen heavy, try lift heavy, and trying to play heavy.
