  1. Ice Cube - The Predator album \m/ \m/
  2. Melechesh - As Jerusalem Burns (thanks to RelentlessOblivion for getting me into this band ). I downloaded the album since I couldn't find it anywhere. That's the only reason I ever download.
  3. I wish I could find their albums. Their first two are amazing. Recently I've been listening to a lot of: Gallhammer Katatonia Autopsy Darkthrone Twilight Ophera
  4. To me personally, Dani Filth is the greatest singer/song-writing who's ever lived, especially between 96 - 2000. I agree they aren't what they used to be, but their latest album The Manticore surprised me a lot. It's definitely my favorite since Midian (2000).
  5. Cradle of Filth have been my favorite band for just over three years, and there hasn't been a fortnight that's gone by since where I haven't played at least one of their albums. Aside from that, Mercyful Fate's 9, and Dissection's Storm of the Light's Bane gets a lot of regular plays from me.
  6. The only two albums I've heard from start to finish is Widow's Weeds and World of Glass, and I've heard bits and pieces from the others. And I have to agree, the new vocalist is nothing compared to Vibeke. Apparently they're bringing out a new album soon, but I'm not particularly interested.
  7. This is how I feel about most gothic metal bands. But, I'm totally in love with Tristania's World of Glass album at the moment.

    Hi.

The Fading? Great song. Great job. I can definitely hear Paradise Lost in there.
  9. I can't look that objectively at music (probably why I suck at writing reviews and such). Originality is great, but to me if something sounds good, and isn't a total rip off then familiarity isn't a problem. There's a million bands out there, it's not the easiest thing in the world to come up with something completely original. The first Carcass album I heard was Heartwork, and it still remains my favorite. Although I said I liked Swansong, I hope the new album will be likened more to Necroticism and/or Heartwork. I haven't taken the time to listen to Orphaned Land properly yet. I should do that soon
  10. I don't think "best" has any part in it. Music isn't about competition. If I like the sound of one band over and another then that's just how it is. As for Motorhead, you can class them as metal if you want, but I agree with Lemmy that they're a rock n roll band. I don't think it matters too much. It's not like it isn't reasonable to argue it either way.
  11. If this is metal exclusive then: Cradle of Filth Darkthrone Taake Emperor Iron Maiden If not then I would exchange Maiden and Taake for Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Motorhead.
  12. Deicide - Deicide Desultory - Bitterness Unanimated - In the Forest of the Dreaming Dead Obituary - Anthology Autopsy - Severed Survival Darkthrone - Ravishing Grimness Black Sabbath - Dehumanizer Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard of Ozz Sex Pistols - Anarchy Live at the 76 Club Pixies - Surfa Rosa w/Come on Pilgrim David Bowie - Best of 69 - 74 I managed to sell some old video games last week.
  13. The new Ghost more than anything. TN2GCjPh0Hw Also the rumored Carcass album. Swansong got a lot of criticism, but I liked it.
