I feel you. That creature who dares call himself my "father" has always been like that. I could accept that he didn't like the music. In fact, I never pretended he liked it... but he keeps insulting what I like and that's something I couldn't deal with. I've had toooons of arguments and so on... But at some point he must have realized he could do nothing as I am what I am whether he likes it or not. So... from the experience I can only recommend you to hold on and try to be patient. When someone has a certain view on a matter and is not open to new ideas, it's useless to complain.

I love Dimmu Borgir, specially since I heard Hybrid Stigmata. Particularly, I pretty much enjoy the Shagrath's voice. Dunno why, but I think there's something... pornographic, so to say, in the way he sings. I got to realize that when I heard him in Kamelot's March of Mephisto or Memento Mori.
