  1. It depends on the music I'm going to play. In the style of basic fender picks range (heavy-medium-thin) I prefer the hardest for heavy riffing and the thin one when I'm dealing with accoustic stuff and so on... I also like to collect different guitar picks... specially those that belongs to a band and they throw'em in concerts. Kamelot "Ghost Opera" tour picks were one of the coolest I've hunted.
  2. Congrats for your review!. I bought this cd in its very release date, I remember it even achieved a good position at spanish charts. After a long time since "Painkiller" it was just like "hey man, the Priest is back!!". And the new recording was no disapointment to me. Tipton was highly influenced by Machine Head's sound back then and it is reflected on the overall sound. It showed that Judas Priest was not a band just living from the past. I agree with u, "Death Row" is awesome and "Cathedral Spires" was such an epic ending!! Sadly it's an underrated album by some die-hard Halford fans. Later, some years ago I met Ripper Owens after a Beyond Fear concert and I got this album signed, we were talking mainly about Jugulator.
  3. Bathory Moonspell Amorphis Savatage Dissection I'm suffering one of those Bathory-fevers!!!!
  4. Nice album & nice review. I was gifted with that deluxe edition, "The Sentinel" cover is great!! It also features a dvd with the "making of.." . MH has reached a maturity status delivering top-notch albums like this one or "The Blackening". Anyway, "Burn my Eyes" remains to be my fav one.
  5. Thanx for the recommendation!, I had never heard of Nevertanezra, I'll try to check'em out.
  6. Try Limbonic Art: "Moon in Scorpio" and "In Adhorrence Dementia" are superb!!
  7. Savatage Angelus Apatrida Kreator Amorphis Catamenia
  8. Great review!. This is my fav Iron Maiden album. I don't have the same edition reviewed, but that special one that they released by 95 in double picture CDs. The first cd featured the 8 standard songs (although I would had let out 'Gangland') and the second one had two more tracks: "Total Eclipse" and "Remember Tomorrow" (live! & sung by Bruce Dickinson). I love to play "Children of the Damned", "Prisoner" and "Hallowed Be Thy Name" with the guitar.
  9. Hi brothers & sisters of Metal!!, I'm a metalhead from Albacete (Spain), hometown of the mighty thrashers Angelus Apatrida. I've witnessed 34 autumns and I listen to Metal since I was 13. I started with classic stuff like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and then I continued on spreading my taste for this music. I 'm into many genres: Heavy/Thrash/Power/Black/Death/Gothic/Doom... but I feel a special devotion for dark music and its underground scene. I sill remember that old good times sending letters to unknown bands like Dissonance (Lithuania) and buying demo-tapes. The 3 masterpiece albums that stabbed my soul forever were "The Silent Enigma" (Anathema), "Draconian Times" (Paradise Lost), and "Streets" by Savatage. By the way, I'm a big Sava-fan (I wish someday they are having a reunion again!!). I also like playing guitar (my gear consists of a precious Jackson DK2 Skull Pile axe and a Roland Cube amp). Well, that was my intro, I hope we are having a great time discussing about metal or any other topic around here. Stay dark!
