Re: Funeral Doom I notice that no one has mentionned "Esoteric" which is a breath-taking band ! Their first albums are uneasy to listen (due to their experimental aspect) so I advice to start with "Paragon of Dissonance". It's a monument.

Re: Mournful Congregation Actually they are pretty good. I only own "The Monad of Creation" which is a great Funeral Doom album. I also heard that "The June Frost" is totally worth it.

Re: Doom/Death If you like some Draconian's aspects, you should listen to "Doom:VS" which is the Funeral/Doom/Death one-man-band from Draconian's gutarist and vocalist.

Re: Doom/Death I'm a huge fan of Opeth, but... I don't think it's a Doom/Death band. It sounds more like Progressive Death Metal, according to me. Even if not any band success to play like Opeth, you should have a try on Be'Lakor or Cynic. (but here again, it isn't doom/death) Doom/Death bands I find are close to Opeth are "Novembers Doom" and "The Fall Of Every Season".
