Hey Murph i didnt realise the Megadeth cover of these boots is hard to find , i have an original CD with that version on it .Nancy Sinatra was the original.I love Kalmah's cover of Megadeth-Skin o my Teeth,and Children of Bodom have covered everything ffrom Britney! to Ghostriders in the Sky. I kinda recall hearing some Brujeria covering the Macarena too.

Re: Female Players I can say that i think yes a lot of girls are too lazy to stick at learning an instrument , there is always exceptions though , ive been playing about 10 years , im in a fairly small town say 7000 people, and i dont know of more than a dozen who can play an electric guitar and when you do get a chance to show off a bit at a jam they all goo and gasp and wonder 'how you do that' and they dont dont have a clue on just how much time you have spent trying to learn.Im a chick and i dont get it , you guys have got no hope!

I did start reading through quite a few of their lyrics but the whole God thing is not my thing at all. If the frontman is indeed an athiest i find it unusual for him to be writing/singing about religion and a God . I detest that shit and i wont be sorry for it. I have no respect for any religion of any kind and i better stop there. But cheers for your opinion

Re: bloodstock 2012 you said Iron Maiden were disappointing wtf what happened? That was last year did you go this year i sounded like it would be ok there was probably only 6 bands that i wanted to see but we're saving like crazy for our metal trip.

I have always thought about this one since a teenager and i always wanted Highway to Hell , times passed and it changed to Panteras Cemetary Gates , he was murdered and i wanted to die too ' Hollow' was then the song.As for now it will be Windir's Fagning or Journey to the End .

Re: Good folk metal bands? so im left wondering if dilatedmind has waded through all of this and found stuff he likes. I rarely hear Windir mentioned , Valfar played accordian and Fagning is my all time epic favourite song .

Re: Finnish folk metal! thanks for this one BlutAusNerd ,way more folky than the earlier one. I checkd out orphaned land and disliked it- they have a religous message and sound pretty soft. Each to their own but compared to scandinavian folk metal you can really tell whos having the fun! I would reckon the difference of culture is what massively separates them -Pagans vs Religious Nutters.
