Re: Paul Gray i agree with whoever said he was good in his own right, and R.I.P but the thing that made him such a prominent member in slipknot was he wrote just about all their songs and/or was helping in a big way in the ones he didnt write, plus he had a pretty sexy mask

Re: Turisas i agree with that, but theyre better than a lot of viking metal bands ive heard, because their general style isnt all doom and gloom, its all relatively upbeat, which is what i like haha.

Re: none metal guitarists the way i play and where my inspiration comes from is a mix of John Frusciante (Chili Peppers), Slash (GnR, Velvet Revolver, Snakepit, Solo) and i also have a soft spot for the guitar work of Dan Hawkins (The Darkness), I love playing solo's 80's/90's rock n roll style, but the ones that sound the best in my opinion are the ones with the passion you can hear in the melody, and i want to capture that. Nothing beats a solid heavy f'n shred though haha

Hey, I'm Alex, 18 from Downham in Norfolk, I love metal (obviously) and rock music. I would put my favourite bands but they change a lot haha. at the moment i'm loving: Metallica Turisas (saw them for the second time last night and loved every second) System of A Down (right at the front for them at download 2011) Alice Cooper Alestorm Iron Maiden and many more, i have a relatively open mind for metal so any suggestions are always welcome, only thing i can't stand is Screamo (key band being Bring me the horizon ) I play a fair amount of xbox in my spare time (gamertag is AlexGOThair, feel free to add me) i play mostly RPG's and shooters: Elder Scrolls Mass Effect COD all the usual crap really. Its good to be part of a metal community who are likeminded!
