  1. Has anybody actually heard 'Metal Magic'? I know it's the weird one that they made way back when' date=' but I always wondered what it was like. Must be some kind of collector's item on eBay because you never see it anywhere. Sort of like 'Cold Lake,' which I always wanted to hear too, even just once. It's like the way I enjoy laughing at bad movies. :)[/quote'] Cold Lake wasn't a bad album. Screw what anyone says. Metal Magic just sounds like bad 70's rock. Crap vocals, weak sounding guitars, etc... It would shock any of the bands fans who have never heard anything before CFH.

  3. You poor, miserable, bastards. Meanwhile my weekend consists of track cycling training tonight and a skills assessment for a road cycling team tomorrow (which starts at six in the morning)
You bring this upon yourself. We work because we have to. There's a difference.
  4. Nevertanezra - NTNR finally got the CD to work in my other computer this one is really good, guys. I like the dry, almost fuzzy guitar sound. Really nice recording quality, clear, no bullshit. The songs are better than the EP. Good progression. Too bad you can't just hire this drummer for more material. Looking forward to hearing BAN's vocals on upcoming stuff.
I'm glad you like it. A lot of work went into that and while it's not traditionally as varied as the EP I feel it's very experimental for what it is. We're continuing that vibe btw. Most people, mostly from doomantia.com, seem to prefer the EP to the album given the variety but you are right it was more like a collection/comp of material. If I had, had more money I'd probably have put a fourth song on there. As it stands I did alter the last song quite a bit, tempo-wise, to make it fit the doom mold (originally it was much faster). You'll be pleasantly surprised when you hear ban's vocals. He's very good and incredibly powerful. He's sung without a mic on several occasion and I've heard him perfectly when playing a pretty high volumes. He doesn't go as low as Rick but he does have a better all around range than Rick. Had things turned out differently they'd have sung in tandem in Denver last year. Had things gone another way entirely Rick would still be with us and both would be singing. I can't wait for our next release. The questions that now remain are if it will be a single and/or split (possibly with Avernus) and if we'll be able to release it this year. I've set some goals for us that look like they're not going to be met. Hooray lack of equipment. However, the Black Harvest material is great. I like the 2013 material the best so far. I get what you were going for when you said immediacy. It's very smooth and considering there was no drummer it's even more awesome. Sadly, restless oblivion isn't old enough to appreciate this type of music.
  5. He was pretty good when I saw Sabbath earlier this year' date=' stumbled through the new songs but made up for it belting out the classics.[/quote'] If you haven't heard 'Born Again' by BS then you need to. Gillian rocked with those guys.
  6. The drummer on the album wasn't Dave was it? Speaking of which Doesn't Dave have a new project he's working on or something? I see updates on his facebook page every now and then. NP: Immortal - Withstand The Fall Of Time Probably my favourite track from the album right here.
No he wasn't. A guy named Nate Correll was the session drummer and he was amazing. As far as Dave goes I've no idea nor do I care. NP: Mental Torment - On the Verge...
  7. Indeed it did, got it last night! Thank you! Unfortunately the album won't play in my computer for whatever reason. I'll have to find something else to play it on. The EP is cool, some really nice female vox in there as well as those sick growls. I've heard the album stuff on soundcloud and I think that's even more to my taste. Good sound quality, and that drummer was ripping! Currently: Dead Congregation - Graves Of The Archangels
Thanks! The vocalist is pretty badass if from IL. The drummer on the EP was the mentor of the drummer on the album. (Ironically the protege was WAY better too but is MIA and presumed dead.) NP: Lethian Dreams - Bleak Silver Streams Mental Torment - On the Verge...
