If I had a computer that would actually record like I want it to I'd be able to test those out but I'm without a functioning laptop/desktop for recording. Audacity, the only thing that's worked thus far fried 3 computers within as many months. All I've got is my tape deck (that was originally purchased for ghost hunting) that actually picks up a lot of sound or if I find it my digital. I can actually manipulate stuff on my laptop from my recorder but I'm incredibly limited on what I can do with it. I've also got an old Tascam 4 track. My gear is so primitive.

The only good Epiphone is an Elite which is basically a Japanese built Gibson for a few hundred bucks less than a real Gibson. It's probably better quality because, hey, Japanese! B.C. Rich make crappy guitars unless you spend more on the higher end models. That could almost be said for any brand out there, however I've yet to play a low end (or any end for that matter) Fender, Ibanez or PRS that I'd qualify as good. I recently acquired an Iron Bird Pro and it rocks! I'm getting a different pickup for it since it came with an active EMG and I'm not into the active stuff. I'm adding a push/pull knob and a kill switch too. I love this guitar because the body style is my all time fav (next to the Les Paul style then the V) and because it's an Ebony fretboard. 90% of all guitars have rosewood and I loathe it. Maple, Ebony & Graphite are my favorite kinds. They feel and sound better. To each their own but I don't think I'm going to be in the guitar market for a bit after this guitar gets it's new guts.

I wonder if I could get drum samples from the engineer that recorded our stuff to play with for the purpose of forgoing a drummer at all? Back when we first started playing live, two weeks before our first gig our then drummer had a meltdown and quit the band. I figured w/e and was going to cancel the show, meantime however Jayke had called the engineer about getting the tracks from our album put to disc so we could still play the gig. After some convoluted nonsense the drummer came back and we played for just over a year before he quit. I often wonder how things would've turned out had we gone the other way. I think it would've been awesome but that's just me trying to embrace technology. I know how tedious it can be messing with drums while recording but I'm pretty good at it and don't mind the work.

I love EMG but I'm getting a Dmarzio for my guitar. I'm giving the EMG 81 to my friend who's dying for the active insanity. The best thing about said pick up is tuning my guitar is easier.

There was a company that used to make aluminum guitars. They weights about 4 ounces and cost a small fortune but the supposedly sounded amazing and would sustain for months at a time.

I feel the pain of you both. I should be brilliant on the guitar but I'm not. I don't practice as often as I should but at least I try to practice at least 4 days a week in not 7. I stopped messing with floyd roses' for about 8 years because they are such a pain in the ass. However the newest guitar I just got has one so I'm back to fighting with it the next time I string it. You can do so much more with them but stringing is a bitch. That and this one likes to go out of tune more than any guitar I've ever owned. Not happy about that.

The concept of the flying spaghetti monster is beyond hilarious to me. I love how its taken a life of its own. I'm currently pissed off at the moment. I couldn't find my digital recorder which means we can't record tonight's practice which means we'll be flying blind again. I'm going to try and buy one before we practice tonight.
