Re: Books? Not sure if anyone has discussed this book yet. I'm not gonna go back and read all 12 pages to find out. Laziness I know. but Corey Taylor's Seven Deadly Sins is on my mind. Not to sound like a commercial but it was seriously one of the best books I'd like to see what everyone else took from it. I definitely wrote down a shit ton of quotes out of the book and it made me feel better about my own personal train of thought on several issues and I thought I'd see if I could learn more, or understand something differently by discussing this with my fellow metal heads.. Any takers?

Re: Three days grace I can say two positive things about them... 1 - the song "Riot" is good...although I've heard it's a cover of someone else (not sure who, or if that's true). 2 - They employ my friend Shawn "Hammer" Ham (and occasionally he gets to perform on stage. He used to be the lead singer for the Texas nu-metal band Neverset).

Is there some kind of posting quota and we get a freebee or is it just 'hey, purchase one and you'll be cool beans'? Also... Re: Your Artwork Well, as I mentioned in my into I am a Firefighter but for a brief period of about 4 years I was away from this career field not knowing what I'd be doing professionally in the future and I studied Graphic Art in college for a bit, and got a degree thinking maybe I could make a career out of a hobby...blah, blah, blah.. Anyway, attached is a tribute poster I did mimicking Iron Maiden's "Somewhere In Time" artwork. If anyone is interested, after seeing this, PM me and I am willing to share original work in the interest of possibly doing art for your business, your band, project or whatever. Costs can be discussed but would be minimal since I'm actually still in the process of building a portfolio for a potential side business..

Re: what got you listening to metal? I first started listening to metal when a head banging beetle climbed into my skull through my ear canal... Seriously? My cousin Justin brought over a tape of Metallica's "Kill 'Em All" when I was about 3 and being highly influential, I listened. I don't think I got it at first to be honest...I was 3 for fuck sake...but I kept listening and metal became part of my identity.

Hello all, First off; no I don't really work in a button factory I just have a very silly, Monty Python-esque, sense of humor. I'll probably try to stay reserved on that too much in here since it's a pain to convey sarcasm on a forum. Second; I am an American, I grew up in Columbus Ohio and recently moved to Albuquerque New Mexico following a job. I am a professional Firefighter. I'm married, with two four legged furry children, no human babies yet. I've been many places in the world courtesy of Uncle Sam, at least half of which you couldn't pay me to go back to. I'm generally a nice guy, but no I will not add you on Facebook if you find me because I don't add people I haven't met. Talking on a forum does not qualify as meeting. Just a personal policy.
