  1. Re: Vocal Newbie Thanks for the tips! I'll check out Eric Arcenaux and see how I find it! As for alcohol...it might be the effect it has on my perception but I can nail some fucking epic notes when I've had a few JD/Cokes. Of course what I think is happening could well be different to what others perceive it as

  3. I've just started experimenting with my voice, after many people telling me I'm an alright singer. I can belt out a decent range, mainly of the Glam-Metal variety, but when I do go for the higher notes I feel my voice is almost too...clean. I want a more aggressive sound to it which I can do occasionally but not near often enough. Also I'm tiring myself out really easily and after a couple hours practise with a couple of guys I know my throat felt dry and worn out. Firstly: Any beginner singer tips anyone can pass on? Secondly: Vocal conditioning, the do's and the don'ts? I've heard a lot of "don't drink fizzy drinks" etcetera...what else am I missing? Thirdly: Breathing excercises to help maintain my vocal stamina I hope I'm not being too vague about what I'm after..I've only been doing this about a week heh. [ALSO - First post. Hello Everyone.]
