  1. Hey peeps check out my band GEHTIKA from Warwickshire. We are currently writing for our New Release in early 2012 after our UK and EU tours in October - November. In the meantime we are still gigging up and down the country showcasing our Brand new Image/Stageshow and direction in METAL! Please visit our facebook page and hit 'LIKE'! and pass the word around http://www.facebook.com/update_security ... #!/gehtika Every story of greatness requires power. For power to exist requires passion. Rising out of the West Midlands, UK, is a band with unstoppable amounts of both. Passion to do great things. Go to great lengths. Play the biggest shows in the world. Gehtika formed in 2008 as a 5 piece and gained a loyal fanbase, high regard from venues and other bands despite the lack of a thriving local metal scene. To...gether they set about crafting an individual style fusing melodic and hardcore metal. After headline sets at festivals and sell out shows at venues in their local area alongside the release of their debut EP 'Detriment', Gehtika went through a lineup change. The departure of their lead vocalist paved the way for guitarist Scott Allen to step up and fill the rank. The new formation into a four piece meant a radical change in both musical and vocal style, both that have developed into more bone crushing, brutal style of metal driven by a groove/thrash infusion. Gehtika then set about self releasing their next EP ‘This New World’ gaining top web and press reviews and began pushing their name out around the globe. Along with this, a full UK tour set them on a no-holds-barred hunger to achieve nothing but the best. Further line-up changes after the UK tour saw the arrival of lead guitarist Chris Maher and bassist Simon Timms join forces with Dean Hemming and Scott Allen. Now with a high energy enema endusing live performance set across the UK and Europe, the planets are aligning.. Reviews - RockSins.com 'Gods of Death also serves up a nice guitar solo leading into a last 90 seconds that if one were to describe it as “fairly mental”, it would be like saying “Rammstein were pretty good at Sonisphere” – a rediculous understatement' - 'Overall, a very promising E.P. This could be the start of some very big things to come.' Southsonic.co.uk 'The haunting melodic introduction disguises the brutality of what's to come. Incessant drumming, complex solos and raw vocals make up Gehtika's second ferocious EP, This New World. Each track runs smoothly into one another, barely breaking the pace. ‘Gods of Death’ has classic galloping riffs, break beats and almost a guarantee to get heads moving and pits stirring.' We hope to see some of you at our shows! Gehtika - 4 from the asylum
