  1. Re: Avant-Garde Metal Avant-garde is really only possible to determine about 20 years afterwards, since it is, after all, music considered ahead of its time. But I find it to be a more hardcore, innovative and experimental version of prog, that even fewer people understand.
  2. Re: Most Metal thing to eat for breakfast? That's so freaking badass. You don't happen to run with scissors as well?

Re: 5 word thread! Math makes it more interesting.
  4. Re: How was your day? How is that even comparable?? Disney World is AWESOME. Not that I've been there. But people claim Disneyland is nothing compared to it. And I've been to Disneyland. And it was one of the GREATEST EXPERIENCES IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I swear, Cinderella's castle was so awesome I wanted to live there. Well, the interior kinda sucked. But the exterior was awesome. Man, I miss that day.
  5. Re: What's on your mind? That is totally going on my favourite quotes.
  6. Re: Rate the user above You seem to be pretty interesting. 9/10.

  9. Re: Your Lyrics I don't really know much of how to tell whether lyrics are good or not, but I'm pretty sure that was good.

Re: 5 word thread! I use math in music.
  11. Re: Rate and Slate I'm rating my awesome ring and slating the fact that there are no comfortable positions to sit in in front of the PC.
  12. Re: most metal 'thing' Indeed. "Hey duuuude, let's make, like, a portable device for shooting flames at stuff. That would be awesome."
  13. Re: Most Metal thing to eat for breakfast? It was psychedelic for two albums, then contained elements of it later in their awesome style of progressive rock. But at the time, they intended to make pop music. And it was pop. Not modern pop, but 70's pop.
  14. Re: Records, CDs, or MP3s? Therefore, to obtain that quality, purchase your music on CDs.
  15. Re: most metal 'thing' My friend figured the guys who invented flamethrowers must've been high.
  16. Re: Most Metal thing to eat for breakfast? ALL pop music? Y U EAT PINK FLOYD
  17. Re: Metal Vs. . . . . . everything else Never liked gothic. Too poppy for my tastes.
  18. Re: Records, CDs, or MP3s? It doesn't need to be converted to MP3. You can use WAVE.
  19. Re: Periphery and DT live in Norway! I wanted to, but I heard they sold out. D:
  20. Re: Avant-Garde Metal How are they not avant-garde? They're pretty experimental and complex, and thus very difficult to interpret correctly without a very well developed mindset for interpreting music. Therefore, avant-garde.
  21. Re: glam and gothic metal I didn't care much for metal until a friend of mine started talking about Dream Theater constantly, and then my sister (for some reason) played some Dream Theater to me. She's not into the band though, she just loves a few songs, such as "Wait for Sleep", which was the first song I heard. Then I heard "Panic Attack", and as I was very new to metal and my mindset for interpreting it wasn't very developed, the fast playing and heavy sound was very appealing to me. That's pretty much how I got into music in general, progressive and metal in particular.
