  1. Re: Deathcore About Job for a Cowboy I don't like them because they are too generic deathcore for me. Not because of scene kids. Scene kids just tend to follow the most popular names, and JFAC was one of the very first deathcore bands scene kids got into en masse.

  2. Re: melodic death metal

That's like asking what the difference between Children of Bodom and Cannibal Corpse is.
Agreed, though we should give beef a break. Death metal *originally* was very melodic. But the genre evolved into more "brutal" sounding music, rather than melodic, like Death and even Dethklok. Normal death metal is now, because of how the genre evolved, more fast paced, exciting, brutal shit. Misery Index, Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death, Commit Suicide, etc. Rather than what used to be Death metal, but is now known as melodic (albeit the first death metal being melodic) like Death themself.
  3. Re: Death

Scream bloody gore and Human are good albums' date=' nothing more and nothing less, the band is incredibly overrated.[/quote'] Incredibly is a stretch for me. I mean dude, come on, they were the reason Death metal is called "Death" metal. I for one absolutely love the sound, the lyrics, everything. It's not what Death metal *turned into* (Misery Index, Commit Suicide, Napalm Death) but Death *is* what Death metal *was*. EDIT: My favorite album is Sound of Perseverance. Tis excellent.
  4. Re: Harsh Vocals.... I wouldn't do it, haha. I only do slow, easy croaks inward, sometimes squeals. But I don't actually use either of those sounds in music. I was just curious, cuz I don't understand how one can growl inward.

  5. Re: Harsh Vocals.... How do you growl inward? The only things I can do inward are croaks and squeals. But I only use those for singing along with some bands at shows. Outward growls were the easiest for me to learn. Highs were and are still not where I'd like them.

  6. Re: Deathcore ^ Link? :o The way I see BMTH is this; They started as a bunch of kids not knowing how to play. (phase one). They learned how to play, did some decent deathcore (Chelsea Smile, Death Breath for example,, phase two) They got inflated due to popularity, became crowd pleasers, music went downhill. (phase three). Now they are even bigger crowd pleasers and revel in scene attention. Horrible. (phase four). I liked them in Phase 2.

  7. What do you think happens after death? What are your thoughts on death as a whole? Do you welcome it, or fear/shy from it, or just not care or mind? What are your thoughts around death? By around, I mean things like, I believe in a soul, but am agnostic about a god. I don't think the conscious mind is purely chemicals created in one's physical brain, but the soul that makes us unique. I don't think it disappears after death, but then again, I don't know. I'm agnostic :P

  8. What is your opinion? I believe it all comes down to the individual, and my meaning of life is to fulfill my goals and ambitions, then die. I can't wait to die, personally, because I simply want to know what happens. But I want to live first. What is your meaning of life, or definition/opinion?
