  3. Re: Rate and Slate Rate: Black Sabbath Slate: Getting blisters from playing tennis barefooted (it was either that or flip-flops lol)
  4. Re: What Are You Listening To? Stryper - To Hell With the Devil
  5. Re: Favorite bands? The order varies, but I can usually boil it down to: Stryper Black Sabbath Judas Priest Led Zeppelin Blind Guardian
  6. Re: Records, CDs, or MP3s? Usually you can get used CD's for quite a bit less than $17. Depending on how popular the album was, you can often get them for around $5, which is way cheaper than MP3's are.
  7. Re: So . . . . 10.3 days, 3646 songs
  8. Re: NINJA METAL They should do a concert with Alestorm and then it can be the ultimate Pirates vs. Ninjas battle of the bands
  9. Re: What Are You Listening To? Judas Priest - Angel of Retribution
  10. Re: Judas Priest or Motorhead? I like Motorhead, but I definitely have to go with Priest on this one. There's just so much more diversity in their catalogue.
  11. Personally I prefer CDs. They have the best sound quality and really are the best way for me to get into an entire album. What do you guys prefer?
  12. Re: Most Metal thing to eat for breakfast? hahahaha, I was thinking the exact same thing
  13. Re: Demon Hunter Vs. Behemoth What exactly is being compared? I mean, why is it these two bands specifically? They don't really play the same style of music, so there's not a whole lot to compare that you wouldn't get from simply comparing christian vs. satanic lyrics in general... I do like Demon Hunter, though. One of the few Alt Metal bands I listen to.
  14. Re: NINJA METAL THE GREATEST THING SINCE...oh wait
  15. Re: Punk True, but that's just what they call the genre. *shrugs*
  16. Re: Punk Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, The Real Mckenzies, and Flatfoot 56 are all good bands to start with
  17. Re: Christian Black Metal I'm not saying that they were Christians themselves, but they did have songs that included Christian imagery, especially the song After Forever: Have you ever thought about your soul - can it be saved? Or perhaps you think that when you're dead you just stay in your grave Is God just a thought within your head or is he a part of you? Is Christ just a name that you read in a book when you were in school? When you think about death do you lose your breath or do you keep your cool? Would you like to see the Pope on the end of a rope - do you think he's a fool? Well I have seen the truth, yes I've seen the light and I've changed my ways And I'll be prepared when you're lonely and scared at the end of our days Could it be you're afraid of what your friends might say If they knew you believe in God above? They should realize before they criticize that God is the only way to love Is your mind so small that you have to fall In with the pack wherever they run Will you still sneer when death is near And say they may as well worship the sun? I think it was true it was people like you that crucified Christ I think it is sad the opinion you had was the only one voiced Will you be so sure when your day is near, say you don't believe? You had the chance but you turned it down, now you can't retrieve Perhaps you'll think before you say that God is dead and gone Open your eyes, just realize that he's the one The only one who can save you now from all this sin and hate Or will you still jeer at all you hear? Yes! I think it's too late. ...and there are still 'Christians' who think Christian music is Satanic, so that argument doesn't hold much water.
  18. Re: Punk I've been getting into some Celtic punk as of late. Nothing compliments punk rawk like bagpipes!
  19. Re: DragonForce's new singer Meh, I'm not a huge Dragonforce fan, but I wouldn't go so far as to say they are terrible. Obviously they are very talented musicians, but what they have in skill they seriously lack in the songwriting department. Hopefully the new singer will help them to evolve their sound a bit.
  20. Re: Black Sabbath ^^^this I have the first three albums as well as the Dio Years compilation and I listen to them all regularly. Favorite songs: The Wizard, NIB, War Pigs, Paranoid, Iron Man, Children of the Grave, After Forever, Neon Knights, Heaven & Hell
  21. Re: BANDS They're pretty good. It's always nice to have bands keeping that 70s sound alive, and they pull it off quite well. One band you guys should check out is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fIDFSUMvLY. They're from Iraq, of all places. I think a documentary came out about them last year, but I haven't seen it yet.
  22. So yeah, I'm mad wookiee11, I'm 18, and I like METAL! Favorite bands: Stryper, Judas Priest, Blind Guardian, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, etc. And I may end up quoting star wars...a lot
