  6. In extreme metal, Id say no issue at all. I know plenty of extreme female musicians and their projects are awesome, varied and astounding, and they command alot of community respect... even in the gore genre, everyone is game and even violence against males is often citied in lyrics.... theres no special treatment

  8. yes, lots of it...f ree jazz for the most part I think my favorite is probably the Steve Matthew trio (ego trip) group atm or Maybe Hung Mung (the art of chaos). Late Coltrane is ofc a must.... Satoko Fujii.... awesome piano player in th jazz world, love her work. And ofc the might John Zorn's Naked City there's probably a handful of metal/jazz crossovers I enjoy... Byonoisegenerator, Abhorrent Expanse. The label I run is actually filled with jazz musicians who have bought their expertise into metal https://discordianrecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-art-of-chaos https://stevematthewstrio.bandcamp.com/album/ego-death-live-at-headlands-coffeehouse https://satokofujii.bandcamp.com/album/step-on-thin-ice thats the three artists I named btw in regards to favorites

  18. I dont specifically think the norwegians invented 2nd wave BM, Im am ofc referring to the european movement of BM when I cite 2nd wave which includes bands from Southern Europe and some bands in the Latin Americas 1st wave for me will be hellhammer, Celtic frost, Bathory, Sarcofago, Mercyful fate I'll be honest I most fo the time dont listen to lyrics, Im paying attention more to the music... timing, arrangment, leads, etc. The issue with BM is all about satan, is that early thrash, coming from punk, was very anti-establishment, and by consequence anti-church.... there are crust and thrash bands in 80s with satanic lyrics.... I dont necessarily think thats the deciding fator ofc I realise that bands can cross genres, but if we can include Venom... can we include Slayers first album? the work of Amebix? Maybe at the time, it would be confusing, but I think in hindsight things are easier to sort out ive alway wondered for instance, if Slayer were in Europe, woud they have been bundled together with Sodom and Destruction... or Bathory, Venom, MF and celtic Frost? instead of being one of the big thrash 4
  19. Im a huge BG fan.... though the early stuff only (first 3 or 4 albums)... I was so impressed with the new one that I picked up one of the limied 300 red splatters from the band.
  20. lets see... Aelvica Amarthine Ashen Horder - Antimony BOiled Tongue - Sam Cosmic Hearse - Exalted Terror Psionic Madness - Rotting Dominion And I obvs get a copy of everything i put out
  21. Relentless Oblivion, you'd be quite partial to the majority of the acts then. and thank you doc (easier than saying Thatguy) actually mastering a project here that has Lori (Nuclear Death) on vocals for an avantgarde garde deathgrind project to send off to the printers today/tomorrow and the guys from Arlyxkqwr are submitting new material too this month for summer release GG, there will be more VFT on the label but for the msot part its going to be the weirder stuff; I think ive found the niche Id like to occupy. And I didnt see it as you shitting on anything
  22. the answer is Coroner or Watchtower.... prob Coroner they were rd the same time as the big thrash fours establishment
