  • Biography

Ben Sebastian's 'Kalasin' series is an demonstrative outpouring of the extremes of epic symphonic and maniacally progressive metal musicality as in each instalment he unleashes his latest vivid instrumental, filmic, and mind-bending creations pushing each release to its absolute limitation. Each track is a journey in its own right, a navigation through seething sound-sphere seas whose tides seek to push, pull, unite, divide, ameliorate and obliterate the expectations of the listener. As if penned by a quill whose ink is dipped in the well of madness; Ben writes with fight, fervour and fever, yet is untiring in his desire to always be dynamically prolific in his dramatic proliferations.

Ben is currently composing 'Ghenghis' - an epic retelling of the Ghenghis Khan story in all its horror and brutality (whilst intermittently releasing a series of stand-alone singles to demonstrate his brand of vocal style, that will tell it). He is also curator of The Sonic Symphonic Podcast; an outlet for unsigned metal artists to get heard along with imaginative real-life story-telling and colourful interviews - all immersed in his philosophical mission to promote and engender musicians to invest in the furtherance of their own unique talents above all else as a mechanism for overcoming , and surpassing, the frailty of personal mental health and the general vicissitudes of life.

  1. Hi all! I run a podcast for unsigned metal bands but I've posted about that already so won't harp on about that too much more (link below) . I've dropped a 'bonus episode' covering my introduction to Cradle, and some of my own stories of things going on around the time of each release. This kinda thing will become a regular bolt on to the normal episodes as I talk about all sorts of things, life, dramas, addictions and recovery, survival with a view to empowering other musicians to stick at their game. Lemme know what you think (episode link also below).
  2. I'm kinda new here so Hello! I hope everyone is well and enjoying the weekend. I am the curator of The Sonic Symphonic Podcast; an outlet for unsigned metal artists and bands to get heard (no-cost/no-catch, yes... really!). I'll also be expanding with some real-life story-telling and colourful interviews in the coming months too. This little idea I had a few months ago has now grown into a philosophical mission to promote and engender musicians to invest in the furtherance of their own unique talents above all else as a mechanism for overcoming and even surpassing the frailty of mental health, the general vicissitudes of life, and any suffering that is the human condition. My thoughts are that if I can make a musician or a collective of musicians feel heard on a podcast, and try to make it as good as a podcast as I can, and that if in someway in so doing this, it not only compels listeners to enjoy music but also uplifts and further compels those musicians to continue their journey; then that must be something of merit in some small way. As a musician I totally understand the difficulty of getting shares, likes, heard, appreciated and as a listener I'm always searching for new music myself so I welcome submissions of track to [email protected]. Note - in the podcast name I use the term "Symphonic" very lightly; as it is in itself an interchangeably conglomorous term these days and when I say unsigned, I mean unsigned and emerging as I wouldn't strike supporting a fresh band still struggling to gain a fan-base just because they've signed the dotted line on a minor label contract and in reality, nothing has really changed. So send me stuff! I think that's enough of an introduction; I hope that I have set my profile up correctly and the latest episode is embedded in the signature, doesn't take up the whole screen, and works when you click it and stuff. I look forward to responses! Thanks!
