  1. Dimmu Borgir - Burn in Hell This is actually a Twisted Sister cover 🤘
  2. Iron Maiden - Hallowed be thy name
  3. Aah sorry, still new here 😅 Will do that from now on 🤘
  4. No need to sacrifice any goats 😂 Thank you for the welcomes. Cool to see that more people here are Dimmu fans 🤘
  5. Two of my favorite live performances by Dimmu. ICS Vortex is in the second one, aswell as Mustis, which I also miss.
  6. I loved him in Dimmu Borgir too, they made so many great songs. Like Progenies of the great apocalypse, Burn in hell, The serpentine offering, The sacrilegious scorn etc. Normally I'm not into orchestra music, but I really enjoy the symphonic elements in Dimmu's music. Like the Wacken concert they did in 2012 with the full Czech symphony orchestra. Just amazing, would've loved to have been among the audience there.
  7. I like Rammstein, that's an example of a band that almost exclusively sings in their native language, but are very successful around the globe. Also I love Dimmu Borgir, both their work in Norwegian and English.
  8. Thank you! Yes, I love Dimmu Borgir, and Stormblåst is one of my favorite albums by them (particularly the 2005 version). Do you like them aswell? 🤘
  9. I secretly starting listening to hard rock in my mid-teens, which wasn't very popular with my family or school (they were all religious). Then when I was about 17 I started liking power metal bands like Nightwish and Sonata Arctica, which I don't really like today. Then in my early 20s I went into more hardcore heavy metal, black metal and nu metal, which are still my preferred genres.
  10. I love finding out that someone I didn't expect to like metal actually enjoys it - it's very rare in my circle, as most people just listen to pop or hip hop or classical music.
  11. I feel like the 80s and 90s were the golden ages of heavy metal, while many of the bands I like today started out in the late 90s or early 2000s and are still producing music to this day. I feel like metal has become more diverse through the years, there are more sub genres that I find interesting and enjoyable.
  12. Top 5 favorite bands right now; 1 Dimmu Borgir, 2 Slipknot, 3 Iron Maiden, 4 Metallica, 5 Rammstein
  13. I'm a metalhead from Europe, just looking for a place to share my passion as almost none of my friends or family enjoy this awesome genre of music. I like different types of metal, but my favorite sub-genres right now are probably symphonic black metal, heavy metal and nu metal. Started liking rock music when I was 15, then my music taste progressed towards harder rock and metal in my late teens and 20s. I'm 30 now and still love metal (take that everyone who said it was "just a phase"!). Any metalheads out there that can relate?
