  1. Commendable! Did you ever watch the movie Cradle of Fear? I remember buying it from the UK on ebay when I was in highschool because you couldn't download things like you could now back then. It was a fun watch for a CoF fan forsure.
  2. So far I've really liked it on the few times I've heard it. But I'll have to sit down and listen more intently and maybe read the lyrics in accompaniment. Also I really, really loved darkly darkly venus adversa. I dont know what the overall reception was to that album but for me it was a home run.
  3. I'm sort of in the same boat as you on not being able to rank them. Nymphetamine was the album that lured me into the band as well. I guess I would say Cruelty and Dusk and her embrace have my favorite overall soundscape from front to back. Midian has some of my favorite songs as well. impossible to say! haha
  4. Darkthrone- Kathaarian Life Code- you know you're getting into some basic BM right off the bat with the iconic cover. If you've never listened to this album before you assume it's going to slap you in the face like deathcrush right off the bat. surprise! It actually takes the time to tickle you a little. a small amuse bouche before the main course of metal. Set the needle down, let that warm hiss fill the room, then have this humorously demonic, lozenge free intro take you into the cold, cold forest of black metal.
  5. I just picked up Cruelty and the beast re-mistressed. I was also pleasantly surprised it was clear red vinyl. It didn't have a hype sticker so i assumed it was black. EIF is a pretty fun album. I can't not see a big devil ant on the cover.
  6. 1. Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats. Their entire discography is perfect for me and I never tire of hearing them. 2. Sunn O))). Black one, Monoliths, and White 2 are replayed a lot by me. I would include Gravetemple in their discography too just because. 3. Wolves in the Throne Room. They hit that perfect atmospheric BM sound for me. 4. Electric Wizard. Fuzzed out, bass heavy, drug infused satanic doom just gets me chillin. 5. Bongripper. Bongripper.
