There really is no point looking to the future, if we just shut down all the coal plants now eventually green power will catch up. 😮 The stupid thing now is that because of the last round of prices increases solar installs are at an all time high in Victoria so there is an abundance of dirty power going back into the grid and we now have excess power to our needs. It should be pumped into the grid but because of state deals and limits it wont be. Also the massive price increases that were deemed necessary only 3 months ago are no longer warranted but because the government has authorised them they wont back down on them. By the time the next government cap is put on power companies we'll have more excuses to increase prices despite solar installs going up even more.

What we should do is shut down more power stations so that it's harder to meet the base load requirements of the national grid over summer.

UBlock works perfectly for me. I've got a few 'elements' of different sites blocked that aren't ads but that's about the only settings I have changed. FBPurity makes Facebook almost bearable, but it's sometimes slow to update. And I don't use anything on my phone because I rarely use it to internetz anyway.

The only ad blocker type of thing I have any issues with is the Facebook killer. It works great and gets rid of everything I don't like on Facebook but it's compiled by a single person and therefore updates can take time.

From what I've read there is a few ad blockers caught up in YT's latest algorithm update. They specifically aimed to stop several of the higher use free ad blockers. It shouldn't take any decent ad blocker long to update and stop ads again but apparently a few were caught off guard.

I don't see any ads on YT, or anywhere else.

Given how dark the pictures are I can't help but wonder if it's not a lack of oil but a change of oil. Manowar use the clean, straight out of the bottle oil with gloss and shine. Black metal looks a bit dirtier, more like oil that's come out of a diesel engine after 12 months of running. Well I certainly hope he doesn't extend the wear time of that loincloth by turning it inside out.

I've got a cattle prod that you can sit on for 20 minutes a day. How straight you end up will depend on how much you enjoy 5000 volts.

I could never live by such constraints. We can have four seasons in one day around here, I'd never know what I was supposed to be listening too. In this day and age not really. There were doctors and nurses through covid who didn't believe it was real. There is politicians that don't hold the same beliefs as their party. There's teachers who hate kids but stay in the profession. People are weird, they do weird things and they believe what they want to believe.

His profession doesn't dictate what his opinions should be.

Exmortus - Necrophony

I didn't realise Ripper was phoning it in on the second album. I remember it being spoken about with the first album. It does make sense that if he's doing it in the US there will be some issues. As much as the album is 'economical' I still can't figure out why the last three songs just feel like they don't need to be there. Others probably feel different but for me once I get to Keeper Of The Grave I start feeling like the album should be over. Pledge Your Souls and Wash Away Your Sins just aren't memorable to me.
