The only thing funny about Running Wild is Rolf's neurosis. Otherwise the only connection between the two bands is theme of music they chose, I wouldn't put them in an either or category.

They are an acquired taste that apparently many don't find. Many say they are a joke, childish, immature, stupid and that they don't take metal serious enough....no actually that's what the band say about themselves, they don't care what anyone else thinks. They make great sing-a-longs.

Until it's proven those laws are actually stopping normal, lawful and civil protests then the way it's being portrayed is bullshit. It's been four months since those laws were changed and they were changed to stop the extreme fuckwits from taking things too far. So far I can't find anyone whose been arrested or fined under the new laws, laws which protesters vowed to break. We need those sort of laws in Victoria. In the past few years we've had fuckwit protesters vandalising public and personal property as they marched the streets. We've had people blocking streets for hours because cars are polluting the world. We've even had deadshit cunts pissing on the Shrine Of Remembrance in protest to lockdowns. If laws gets those idiots fined or locked up I'm fine with it. In the last few months Melbourne as seen protests for the Yes Vote, the No Vote, and both sides of the Gaza conflict and apart from one dickhead who let off a flare in the middle of the crowd not one of those thousands of people would have been locked up or fined in South Australia because the protests were lawful.

His idea was to remove us from that. It was a pipe dream, but it doesn't matter now anyway since he quit. You forgot the cold and shitty weather. Coming into summer and in the last few weeks Tassie has had snow, high winds and his weekend some parts look like they might get more than 100mm of rain, all while remaining under 20 degrees. Even Victoria isn't that bad!

Solar panel and a battery will fix that.

The one I really like is the power companies that offer "green" power for an extra expense. The promise that as a consumer if you pay an extra $5 per month (or more in some cases) they'll guarantee that your power comes from green power sources. Anyone who falls for that scam is beyond stupid.

There really is no point looking to the future, if we just shut down all the coal plants now eventually green power will catch up. 😮 The stupid thing now is that because of the last round of prices increases solar installs are at an all time high in Victoria so there is an abundance of dirty power going back into the grid and we now have excess power to our needs. It should be pumped into the grid but because of state deals and limits it wont be. Also the massive price increases that were deemed necessary only 3 months ago are no longer warranted but because the government has authorised them they wont back down on them. By the time the next government cap is put on power companies we'll have more excuses to increase prices despite solar installs going up even more.

What we should do is shut down more power stations so that it's harder to meet the base load requirements of the national grid over summer.

UBlock works perfectly for me. I've got a few 'elements' of different sites blocked that aren't ads but that's about the only settings I have changed. FBPurity makes Facebook almost bearable, but it's sometimes slow to update. And I don't use anything on my phone because I rarely use it to internetz anyway.

The only ad blocker type of thing I have any issues with is the Facebook killer. It works great and gets rid of everything I don't like on Facebook but it's compiled by a single person and therefore updates can take time.

From what I've read there is a few ad blockers caught up in YT's latest algorithm update. They specifically aimed to stop several of the higher use free ad blockers. It shouldn't take any decent ad blocker long to update and stop ads again but apparently a few were caught off guard.

I don't see any ads on YT, or anywhere else.

Given how dark the pictures are I can't help but wonder if it's not a lack of oil but a change of oil. Manowar use the clean, straight out of the bottle oil with gloss and shine. Black metal looks a bit dirtier, more like oil that's come out of a diesel engine after 12 months of running. Well I certainly hope he doesn't extend the wear time of that loincloth by turning it inside out.

I've got a cattle prod that you can sit on for 20 minutes a day. How straight you end up will depend on how much you enjoy 5000 volts.
