  1. Nuclear Screams - A Path To Endless Days
  2. Yeah, I bet it was a huge shock the the system in Darwin this winter when the daily temps dropped below 28 for more than 3 days in a row. They'd have all been rushing to the shops for jumpers and beanies.
  3. No fear being overtaken I'm just sitting back here driving Miss Daisy.
  4. As opposed to me 1500ks east where we do get down below zero at nights and mountain ranges where the temps get well into blizzard conditions. Our days in winter range between about 8 and 15 C and while we often get pockets of 40+ in summer we rarely get them for longer than 3 or 4 days at a time.
  5. I can put up with whatever temperature gets thrown this way but 100mm of rain on what is already a saturated landscape is a bit much. The paddocks will recover and thankfully the rivers aren't flooded yet but we've still got 5 days of rain predicted.
  6. Selectively. But for some reason I've always like Madball's early stuff

  8. Yeah I'm not a huge fan of Monopoly which I guess is why we've never had the gold set out. My wife's family can only play Trivial Pursuit if they give hints to every questions and they have a 5 hint limit to standard questions and a 3 hint limit to wedge questions. Apparently that's not heating though.
  9. OOhhhh swimming time! Weird turn? Where? I don't see it.
  10. I'm afraid to ask what else my wife has here from when she was a kid. She was a big gamer in the 90's before I met her, and she did have some consoles when we got married but because I was on the road 6 days a week I didn't really know what consoles. We also have a Franklin Mint Monopoly set here, which never gets used, where everything is pure gold. The weird thing is she has told me heaps and heaps of time how much she hates Monopoly because all her family cheats.
  11. I'm not entirely sure how much time other cucumbers spend on personal grooming but I don't tend to spend a lot.
  12. Shit, don't tell my wife. Apparently we've got a non working Gameboy, an N64, a PS1 and 2 x PS2's. I was never a huge console gamer so I really don't know what each one is or does other than they supersede each other. I thought I was bad keeping an original Donkey Kong "game and watch" (which does still work), but my wife has kept all this gaming shit in boxes in the spare room. Apparently we bought it back from Perth on one of trips about 10 years ago. I don't remember doing it but I do remember multiple trips back form Perth where I took a 'don't ask just pack' attitude.
  13. But was the stuff we now know as food originally put on this planet with the sole intention of being eaten? Given that the fruit will, if left, wither and die and by it's own process propagate and propagate even better and stronger in the same soil it was grown in. Could it not be that cucumbers, zucchinis and other such fruits were put on this earth because of their lovely flowers which help keep millions of bees alive. Bees after all are one of the most important creatures in the eco system.
  14. Do they really? Or is that just one of their benefits?
  15. Well I take it as a temptation, but I'm not most people!
  16. My eldest just arrived. I thought, 'how nice of her to come and see her parents on a Sunday morning'. She lobs in the door walks past the office where I'm sitting, says hello then says "where's Mum?" I tell her I don't know but she's not far away, shitty day and all so she's inside somewhere. As the kid walks off I call out, "to what do we owe the pleasure?" "Bust-A-Move marathon." I get told. Interest tweaked a little bit I decided to go and see what the real reason for her visit is and when I get to the lounge I see my wife has set up the Play Station 2 and "Bust-A-Move marathon" wasn't just a silly throw away comment. They plan to sit and play Bust-A-Move all day. I didn't even know we still had a working PS2
  17. As a shark we only bite when under threat, we don't really like the taste of you yukky humans!
  18. Just don't laugh too loudly at the other lot, some of them bite
  19. Welcome to the forums. I'm blissfully unaware of a lot of things people here talk about too so don't be embarrassed.
  20. My guess is you'd be looking for something like Hollywood Undead or some other such rock/metal/rap hybrid. But I agree with Clint.
