I'm getting a little Motorhead in there too. Meh, it's ok. Death Magnetic and the last one had enjoyable moments, but nothing to rekindle the past. This won't either, but at least it's passable and better than what any of the other legacy thrash bands have put out in recent memory. I'm sure they'll sell a billion copies.

Wow, I am kind of the opposite I guess. I discovered IEMs about a year ago and can't get enough. I do keep the volume low and am pretty meticulous getting to right tips.
Bluetooth is now just about in the hi-fi realm for audio quality right? Soon all our wired gear will be pointless, and there will be more must have things to buy. It never ends does it?

That's a pretty good deal on a very respectable set of cans. Give them a chance to break in and look into the Brainwavz earpad upgrade to make them a tad more comfy (improves the bass and midrange some too). I've always thought they sound great straight from the source (no amp) but ymmv. And they are definitely built for life. Can't understand how they can sell them for so little money. I'd really like to try some of their other cans, but alas the prices increase exponentially and I just can't imagine that much of an upgrade for the amount I actually use them (headphones in general) being worthwhile.
I use both but have to agree. If OTE's weren't impractical for most of my uses, I would never have another set of iems.

70% bs/30% real up to a point and then the percentage of bs increases drastically with the cost. Same for most things in hi-fi, but hey if it's what people want to spend their money on... I just want good possibly great sound without mortgaging my retirement years, so I'm a mid-fi guy for life. If I can get 90% of the sound for 25% of the price that means more $$$ for music and shows which are actually more enjoyable than just playing the same 5 albums on a grail system IMO.

I just got the Moondrop Arias for about $60 and am quite impressed. Previously got the tin t3 plus for $67 and I think these 2 sound very good, and different enough to justify having both.
Finally I had to snatch a pair of the 7hz Salnote Zeros on sale for $15. They are getting a lot of hype in the budget space.. They arrive tomorrow. 
I have decided that either my hearing is degraded enough that I am incapable of appreciating the nuances between merely 'good' and high-end (i.e. expensive) gear, or this hobby is almost entirely bullshit. Probably a mix of both. Never the less I love shiny new audio toys so my compromise to myself is to not spend too much on any one thing.
I do want those Mezes though after hearing Navy rave about them for years now.
Also, I am definitely a foam tip guy.

I just got my wife a pair of Sony WH-1000 XM4 bluetooth cans. I found my XM3s for a decent price whenever I got them... year and a half ago? They're great, anyway, and unlike the newer ones they support aptX. But now the NOS ones that are left are going for around $400, which is the same price as the newest version, which is stupid. Gotta say, after using over-ears exclusively for a while, I am never going back to in-ears. Torture devices. Horrible way to live.

Was posting about iems, thought about you and your Mezes, saw them on sale for $229 and bought them. This happened all in about 5 minutes. If my wife freaks out I will blame you haha! But looking forward to seeing feeling and hearing them. They are certainly a handsome looking pair of hps.
in my defense I did get picked up for a good assignment so this is a little reward for myself.

This is Jamie Lee Cussigh, who looks a lot like Vanja Šlajh from a distance. My buddy (Bob) and I thought it was the same bass player in Triptykon and Triumph of Death until we saw Vanja standing off to the side while they were on stage.

I was thinking of going but cost of petrol and accommodation put me off!   Road to Hobart is currently a mess with semi-permanent road works so it's a 3 hour journey and even longer at night due to fog and road obstacles (ie roadworks).   Makes traveling just for gig hard.
Missed Blood Incantation and Dead Congregation for same reason.

Is Anthrax kind of dead?  Just noticed Charlie Benante is committing a bit more long term to playing with Pantera ie up to 2024!  Anthrax keep talking about a new album but it seems just hollow talk as nothing is known.  And Charlies isn't just the drummer but also the main song writer!
