  3. I dig it. Pulled it off your bc. Probably won't purchase it, maybe a little too weird, but I do appreciate it. Different take on folk black metal than I've heard.

  9. It is fake. Somebody has already admitted to fabricating it. I think the reunion was planned a while back and all the press with KK was engineered to draw interest prior to announcing. Dumb imo because anything Slayer does would draw major commercial interest at this point. I dunno if it's retirement money or just boredom. Most people figure out that no longer doing the things you did basically your whole life isn't quite what you thought it would be. Not uncommon to see people come out of retirement to work part-time to fill the void.
  10. Sadistic Force is pretty good. Saw them last year. Do a great cover of Blind in Texas. Blackened Motorhead isn't far off. This
  11. Not gonna lie, I've never seen them live. So I'd go if they were at a decent fest even with the current lineup. But I'm not interested in either of the fests that were announced today.
  12. Yeah, Time Bomb is not a choice for regular rotation, but there's some decent stuff there. No real way to follow Epidemic. That record is just brutal face ripping madness. I've never heard them revisit Time Bomb live either, so my take away is it's in their "Cold Lake" category. I lost interest in many of the second tier thrash acts around the time they changed their sound as grunge took over the world. This one falls in with Coroner - Grin, Sadus - Elements of Anger, and a few others that didn't impress me when they rolled out, but revisiting years later they're not as bad as I remembered. Not the same sound as earlier works, but once you separate your expectations for how that band should sound from what is there...it's easier to appreciate them for what they are. I would note that the same logic doesn't work for me with the albums from the Big 4 around the same time. I've tried revisiting the Black album, God Hates Us All, Youthanasia, even throw in Roots for good measure and just can't do it. Bewitcher - Under the Witching Cross
  13. Cattle Decapitation - Terrasite Strapping Young Lad - Alien Akercocke - Words That Go Unspoken Unfortunately, I can only give one horns up. One of my all time faves.
  14. Tau Cross - Pillar of Fire Tau Cross - Tau Cross Amebix - Sonic Mass Napalm Death - Scum Napalm Death - Harmony Corruption Napalm Death - Throes of Joy Killing Joke - Absolute Dissent Killing Joke - Hosannas
  15. As someone living with the consequences of family not making plans for an elderly loved one in their later years, good on you @Nasty_Cabbage. I'll be honest, I contemplate murder more than I should, but I also practice a good deal of restraint. I wouldn't say I asked to be in the situation or even rogered up for it, but there are zero resources where I live and I can't see the old bag homeless. We're getting on alright but praying for a speedy end. Just be sure to take time for yourself because I promise, despite the best of intentions, it will weigh on you heavily after a while. Especially if and when the dementia kicks in. Here's hoping you find it better than I.
  16. Polished off a bottle of S. African Pinotage last night. Probably the first SA Pinot I've had. Not bad, nothing to write home about. Tonight, back to Uncle Jameson and his girlfriend Ginger Ale.
  17. Theatrical hookers unwittingly gripe SHAT
  18. I probably ran into The Sound around the end of the 80's. They were in the group of bands similar enough to the more well known goth/Post-Punk acts like The Cure, Bauhaus, Joy Division etc but a bit underground for the states. Iirc, I was dating some goth chick who had all sorts of stuff I'd never knew existed. The Sound, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Chameleons, Clan of Xymox, Fields of Nephilim... Some stuck with me, some didn't. The first 3-4 from The Sound are excellent and the live album from 85 is one of the better from that subgenre. Hope little 'Noise gets back on his feet soon. The Cult - Electric Fields of Nephilim - Dawnrazor And Also the Trees - Virus Meadow Depeche Mode - A Broken Frame New Model Army - Ghost of Cain
  19. I saw them last year with Exhorder. I'll admit, I've never been an Overkill fan. Just one of those bands that flew under my radar. Really good live. Blitz sounds great although you can tell that performing is physically taxing for him at his age. A lot of the old guard still bring it live. Exciter, Razor, Possessed, Megadeth, Suicidal, Sodom... I'm just trying to see as many as I can while I can. Never know how many more opportunities we'll get. Having grown up in an area that never saw many tours, I missed pretty much everything back in the day, so now I travel to see everything I can. Anyway, lazy Sunday morning. Schizophrenic Florida has decided we needed one more blast of winter and it's 40 degrees outside. So coffee and tunes until it gets tolerable outside. The Sound - From the Lions Mouth

  23. Definitely a banging cover. Claudio really does the vocals justice. Gwarsenio can put together solid lineups for these. A few of my favorite covers by the channel. Riff Raff - Neil Fallon is the perfect choice for this song. Whole cover is fucking great. Unchained Caught in a Mosh Earth A.D.
  24. Power Metal day. Something I'm not usually in the mood for but just feels right today. My ass is dragging after a brutal travel schedule of late, so a little pick me up I guess.
