  1. I want to say I watched a video years ago that explained that during soundcheck they would locate the perfect spot on stage that created that magic feedback and they would mark it with an X so Gary would know where to stand. I personally use the FREQOUT pedal. A fun toy that gives me natural sounding feedback. I use this for a couple of my solos and have been pretty happy with it.
  2. The vibe you're going for is definitely coming across pretty well. As has been mentioned, the drums are what needs the most at this point. Just needs some variety/different patterns to keep things interesting. I really enjoyed Demo 13 on the playlist.
  3. My son's 8 and he actually asks me to crank it up when we're in the car so I'm calling that a win lol, but he likes all kinds of music.
  4. Back in the day I would've said James Murphy (Death, Obituary, Testament, and Disincarnate) These days I might go with Brandon Ellis (The Black Dahlia Murder)
  5. Iowa, to be exact. Yes, there are people here. Most will be happy to tell you that they know someone from Slipknot. You don't say! I was born on the island of PR and my life was forever changed when I saw some crazy guy with a metal mask on a music video as a kid. It wasn't until years later that I saw that image again on a cassette (giving away my age yet?) and bought Metal Health (Quiet Riot, for the youngsters out there) Lived though the hair metal era and just kept going heavier through the thrash years and eventually landed in the DM world where I've mostly hung out ever since. Music I listen to is too long a list but here are some highlights: Iron Maiden, Entombed, Carcass, Morbid Angel, TBDM, Mastodon, Puya, and Fear Factory. Other than that, I'm married and got 2 kids. Only 1 of them sorta likes metal. I do play guitar as well and the 1st show I ever played in the 90s had this one band opening...Dying Fetus. I wonder if they ever made it? lol
