    Born from the love of all things “metal”, Acydia is a one-man solo project by Todd Lichty born in Ontario, Canada. Once he got his hands on his first guitar, the desire for “more” and “more” grew quickly. The interest to learn to write and record his own music was sparked by the tunes of the established to the bands just getting off the ground.

    Inspired by heavy riffs and intricate melodies by bands crossing all genres in the metal scene, Acydia brings forth a whole new sound, living deep somewhere within this massive range of metal. Bringing forth elements of groove, metal core and experimental, Acydia’s sound and songwriting mirrors that of his own musical journey: creative, unique and most of all, heavy.

    A decade in the making, Acydia’s first full length album, Decide, is out now! These songs will take the listener on an intense journey, describing and forcing them to look into the mirror: Death or Heartache? It’s time to DECIDE.

    Hey guys! My name is Todd from Ontario, Canada and I've just released my first full-length solo album, Decide! I go by the name Acydia and you can find my music anywhere music is available! I've posted some links below and would love for you to give it a listen! It is a concept album, so listening front to back would be the best! I've posted a YouTube link to one of my favourites though, just to give you a taste of it all. Though I have been describing it as basically “heavy metal”, it has elements of groove metal, metalcore and experimental. If you pick up on any other sub-genres, I would love to hear them! All music and lyrics written by me. I performed/programmed/recorded all instruments and vocals myself and mixed and mastered the entire album as well. This really is a TRUE solo project!
