I've been learning some country style behind the nut bends. In this technique, you push down on the string behind the nut to bend the pitch. It makes me a little nervous because it exerts a lot of pressure down on the nut. I'm afraid the string will cut into the string slot, making it deeper. Is this a legitimate concern, or am I worrying about nothing?
