  1. Pretty much what Sheol said. These days I get the impression a label needs to see you already doing most the work yourself. With a label or not, you can still send your music to magazines and radio stations, apply to play at festivals and tour. Getting a band manager may help too.
  2. Nice work @wayfaringstranger. I can definitely see why people are talking about your landscapes work.
  3. Great work @FatherAlabaster!!!! I've never ventured into this part of the forum before and very glad I did now.
  4. I suggest sending demos anyway and then people on here can get an idea of your sound. Hope it works out for you.
  5. Just had a look and Metal Archives and there's 7 bands named Depravity on there. I'm guessing there could even be more around the place.
  6. The latest album is good and I'll most likely purchase it, but I can relate to what you said about something was missing. I enjoy the first album more.
  7. Really enjoying this at the moment. Depravity, brutal, technical death metal from Perth, Australia.
  8. Recently, I've been really enjoying Depravity - Evil Upheaval. They are an Australian band, signed to Transcending Obscurity Records, who have a pretty good catalogue of bands. Evil Upheaval is their first full-length release, coming out in 2018. The best way I would explain the genre is brutal, technical death metal.
  9. Exhumed - All Guts, No Glory Exhumed - Necrocracy Rob Zombie - The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser
  10. I'm not familiar with the other bands, but I saw BTBAM not too long after they released Colors and it was an amazing show. In a pretty shitty club (which I liked) and the crowd basically stood there in awe, not sure what to do.
  11. Yep, that's them. Not diggin that album though.
  12. Depravity - Evil Upheaval Depravity - Grand Malevolence Teeth - The Curse Of Entropy Carnation - Where Death Lies Dehuman - Graveyard Of Eden Hatred Incarnated - (self titled single) Earth Rot - Black Tides Of Obscurity Sanctioned - Annexation Descend To Acheron - The Transience Of Flesh
  13. Anything reducing the amount of slam on a thread is much appreciated... by me, anyway 😜 I really dig Temple Of Void!!! I'm about 30 years behind on getting into Asphyx, haha. Have been listening to them on and off over the last year or two and liking most of what I've heard.
  14. I'm not saying it's always the case, but a lot of the time that can be because the sound guy/girl can't mix extreme metal well. Earplugs definitely help with cutting down a lot of the noise that makes it sound messy.
  15. Check out www.bitterlossrecords.com It's online metal store here in Australia, but has also become a label, signing some great Australian metal bands.
  16. Have you guys heard Werewolves? Features Matt Wilcock who was in Akercocke. They're a blend of grind and death metal with some black metal flavouring. I've heard great reviews of their latest album, but I personally think their first album, The Dead Are Screaming is a lot better.
  17. Gruesome - Dimensions Of Horror Venomous Concept - Kick Me Silly, VCIII Depravity - Evil Upheaval Skeletal Remains - The Entombment Of Chaos
  18. In no particular order: Dehuman Gruesome Depravity Descend To Acheron Exhumed
  19. Depending on how heavy/extreme you want to go: Thinking of things you might like that are around the sound you're currently listening to, you might be interested in: Sevendust Mushroom Head Sepultura (recent albums) Devil Driver Lamb of God For heavier, more extreme stuff, I suggest: Napalm Death Suffocation Morbid Angel Abnormality Miseration Mgla Earth Rot There really is so much out there to check out, but these were just one's that came to mind at the moment.
  20. Some more: Earth Rot - Black Tides Of Obscurity Cathedral - The Garden Of Unearthly Delights Carnation - Where Death Lies Beast - Danse Macabre Eternal Rest - The Picture Of Hatred Gruesome - Savage Land
  21. Sweet artwork man!!! I'm liking Rannoch.
  22. What are some killer albums you have discovered in the last few years? *Does not have to be albums released in the last few years, just albums you've heard in that time that have really impressed you. There's probably a fair few more, but for now my picks are: Dehuman - Graveyard Of Eden Descend To Acheron - The Transience Of Flesh Temple Of Void - The World That Was Warfather - The Grey Eminence Depravity - Evil Upheaval Immolation - Atonement Heads For The Dead - Into The Red Heads For The Dead - Serpent's Curse Decrepit Birth - Axis Mundi Hate Eternal - Upon Desolate Sands
  23. I think I could enjoy doing poems drunk 😄
  24. Descend To Acheron - The Transience Of Flesh
  25. Yeah, I personally consider those bands to fit in with the goth scene.
