She had many different experiences in her career and she's for sure an eclectical guitarist... but I wouldn't consider her Metal. Hard Rock, at best.

Quarantine: pandemic, viruses, lockdown, restrictions, masks, "wash your hands" etc.
Unfortunately all around the world we got used to these words and hopefully it looks like we are reaching the end of this nightmare, whatever it was.
Do you know that Quarantine is a Venetian word? Venice was the first city in the world to invent and implement "Quarantena" (which in Italian stands for "40 days"). This dates back in Medieval times due to the frequent plagues that threatened the city.
Venice was the biggest port in the world and every ship (and its crew) that came from abroad was forced to stay 40 days "parked" in one of the numerous islands of the Lagoon, to prevent the spread of illnesses unknown to the city. This of course didn't work all the time, because the hygiene standards were rather poor and plagues spread anyway, but in centuries the Quarantena practice saved millions of lives for sure and was then adopted by all countries in the world as a standard of health control.
I post a video of my Venice Quarantine Tour across the Lagoon, anyone can enjoy with me when here. 😃🤘

I can see where you are coming from, and we all definitely have our limits.  Varg was definitely one of the best bm musicians ever, but his antics (even when totally disregarding the murder) are consistently stupid and laughable.

    A few for me:
Technically, not an album, but the System of a Down songs that were played on the radio in the early 2000s.  Hearing their riffs and aggression as a young kid really made an impression on me.  It was what got me to begin playing the guitar, and was among the first bands that I recognized.  I don't listen to them much anymore, but I have very fond memories of their music. Metallica -s/t album: This was the first metal album that I ever got (it was a gift), and is still one of my favorites.  It is a great collection of songs.  All of them are catchy and memorable. Burzum - Filosofem: This is my favorite Burzum album, and was one of the first black metal albums that I ever purchased.  The ambient guitar tracks at the end remain inspiring to me, and I named my first musical project after them. Reek of the Unzen Gas Fumes/Xenophobic Ejaculation - split: Reek of the Unzen Gas Fumes changed my view of what metal can be by pushing speed and catchy riffs to the extreme.  This split has some of their best tracks.  This release was also my first introduction to the mighty power electronics of XE.  I had never heard music like that before, and, since hearing it, I have been converted to listening to and playing noise music/power electronics. This is easily their best release!

Anthems of rebellion by Arch Enemy: I don't listen to anything new this band do since they changed lead singer. The best melodic death metal album ever made in my view.
Follow the leader by Korn: Not my favourite Korn album and I very rarely listen to it when I want some Korn on the Hi-fi separates system but it will always hold a special place in my heart.
The colour and the shape by Foo Fighters: Not a big fan of this band but I do really love this album. Just a great rock radio friendly album.
Hybrid theory by Linkin Park: I disliked everything the band did after this album but I'll admit I really like this album.
Freak show by Silverchair: Everything the band did after this album was just not for me but this album is where I go when I need that mix of punk and metal known as grunge.
Unto the locust by Machine Head: This band just seem to copy what is big in the heavy metal scene at the time when they go to make a new album. Thrash metal is big lets make some thrash metal albums, nu metal is big let's make some nu metal albums, New wave of American heavy metal is big let's make some of albums in that style. I wish the band would just choose an style of metal and stick with it. Anyway this is the only Machine Head album I need as it's the only one I like. Such a great album.

Appetite For Destruction was big one for me too. Still one of my favourite rock albums.
Alice Cooper - Trash. Although I don't like this album anymore, it was the game changer for me. It sparked something in me that led to getting into heavier music.
Aerosmith - Pump / Toys In The Attic / Rocks are still great records for me.
Metallica - ...And Justice For All. I probably prefer Master Of Puppets and Ride The Lightning, but And Justice was what got me into Metallica and still holds a special place with me.
Slayer - Decade Of Aggression. This is what got me into Slayer. I don't listen to them that much these days, but still really dig this album (live record).
Sepultura - Arise. Before hearing this, the heaviest stuff I listened to was Metallica and Slayer. Arise blew my mind and took metal to another level for me. This is probably what kicked off my journey of getting into the more extreme forms of metal.
Napalm Death - Death By Manipulation
Brutal Truth  - Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses. When I was about 16 a couple of older friends showed me this Napalm Death and this Brutal Truth album and from that moment on I've loved them.
    Damaged - Do Not Spit
In:Extremis - Skin Thick Vision. I heard Damaged and In:Extremis on the radio one night around 1995 or something like that and I loved it. These albums are still in my favourite metal releases.

    Hi all Brothers,
just wanted to let you know which are the Albums that meant more in my life, as a Rocker and Metalhead: NOT necessarily my favorite albums (maybe only 2 of the following are among my top albums and bands), but those records that somehow changed something in me, had a great impact in my perception of the Rock & Metal World.
It would be nice to know yours!
    My First Cassette in 1986:
Iron Maiden - Piece of Mind
My first Iron Maiden album (MC), I was 13 and I had never listened to Metal before... needless to say I was completely blown away from the very first intro of Where Eagles Dare! I still have that cassette but it doesn't work anymore 🙈
My First 3 Lps in 1988:
    Sanctuary - Refuge Denied
Absolute masterpiece, I was 15 and I had never heard a vocalist like that! I simply couldn't believe Warrel Dane's voice was true...
    Fifth Angel - Fifth Angel
Absolute masterpiece, disclosed to me Power and Epic Metal.
    Candlemass - Nightfall
I had never heard such a sound before (I wasn't much into Black Sabbath at the time). This is still today in my opinion THE Doom Metal album. Simply legendary and Messiah Marcolin is to me one of the best vocalist ever in the genre.
    Change of Style in 1989:
Guns 'n' Roses - Appetite for Destruction
Ok it's not Metal, but this is maybe the only album I've been listening to every day for 2 years (from 1991 replaced by Use Your Illusion). I was totally crazy about those guys. I think I don't listen to Appetite for 20 years now, but I still remember every note and word. Thanks to them I went back to the basics, discovered rock music of the 60s and 70s. So they really meant a lot for my rock life!
    Back To Metal in 1994:
Machine Head - Burn My Eyes
One word: Davidian! But the entire album blew me away, I bought it straight away the day after seeing them supporting Slayer in Milan.
    The Awakening 2016:
    Rotting Christ - Rituals
I have to confess, I was not much into Metal in the last 10 years...I left to re-discover and dig into the 60s, 70s, 80s and more Prog Rock, Dark, New Wave, Art Rock... but, I know you perfectly get it, something always remains inside a Metalhead!!! Can't remember how it happened but I listened to "Elthe Kyrie" from this album... I had never heard of Rotting Chist before and I've never been particularly a fan of Black Metal: but that album changed again my rock life! Today Rotting Christ (and their entire discography) are one of my all time favorite... and they of course opened me the gates to Black Metal!
    And Now
Waiting for the next album that will blow me away... 🤘♠️😉

Re rotting Christ there a band I didn't really get till I saw them live but I was very impressed when I saw them at bloodstock festival. They were so metal. 👻☠️💪😁 I got the rituals album too. Guns n Roses Appetite for Destruction will always have a special place in my heart. It was the first album I ever owned and it made me feel like I was god every time I listened.
Ministry's Psalm 69 was the album that took me to a darker timeline and opened me up to a lot of black metal, goth  and industrial.
Amen's We Have Come For Your Children got me excited about live music again
More recently Wardruna's Skald and Sylosis's Monolith made me rethink listening to the same 80's 90's metal over and over again.
Now I am back discovering all the new underground bands I'd missed out on the past 10 years.
    it's been great!

Nice topic. I could swear we had a thread about this somewhere, but I can't find it. Ah well. I love that Sanctuary album. Appetite For Destruction was a huge album for me when I was getting into all things metal in the early 90s, but like you I haven't listened to it in decades.
I feel like I could make an endless list. There are a bunch of albums that had a big impact on me - especially when I was younger, but I'm still finding stuff that really sticks with me. Some of the standouts from my teenage years are Metallica's "Ride The Lightning", which was the first proper cassette I owned; Queensryche's "Operation: Mindcrime", my first "concept album" and still an all-time favorite; and Opeth's "Morningrise", which totally rewired my concept of songwriting.

I just remember all the gold records on the walls. Most of it was not great music such as Sade ? but yeah it was funny going to wedding for my cousin and finding out Ozzy was here recording a classic album with randy roads all those years ago, probably getting smashed on whisky.
