  1. Bumping another horror thread lol. Copying my most recent post. I absolutely loveee horror films, all types but especially the older ones shot in the 70's & 80's, and I love campy/weird stuff. Some of my favorites are: Re-Animator, Evil Dead I & II, Dead Alive, the original Halloween (also love 4 & 5), The Thing, From Beyond, Hellraiser, The Lost Boys, Fright Night, Child's Play, Dolls, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, A Nightmare on Elm Street. I have more but those are the ones that come to mind at the moment. Some other newer ones I've enjoyed are [REC], The Grudge, The Ring, and The Woman in Black.

    Horror Films

Did you get to watch it? I loved it. It's one of the most beautiful films I've seen in recent years. ----- I absolutely loveee horror films, all types but especially the older ones shot in the 70's & 80's, and I love campy/weird stuff. 3. Bump. Ghost is freaking amazing. 'Nuff said.
  4. Peter was amazing. I listen to TON everyday and October Rust is my favorite album of all time. Sadly, I never got to see them live either. I was too young then. From what other fans have told me, their concerts were always unique and incredible. Peter's voice was like thunder and his jokes were hilarious. I can only imagine the energy felt in that audience. Sigh... I agree wholeheartedly with what you said at the end. In my opinion Pete was a musical genius and so different from other metal musicians. He will always be my favorite singer/bassist of all time. Type O Negative was an incredibly unique band.... their lyrics and melody, the way they expressed themselves on/off-stage, their sense of humor, etc was unparalleled. I can go and on. I still think they're incredibly underrated as a band and only a handful of people truly get what they were about. Peter's death was a tragic loss and the world definitely feels emptier without them.
  5. This is an old thread but Mournful Congregation are absolutely amazing. I love them so much. So happy to see there are others here who like them as well. BTW if you guys enjoy MC, you'll most likely enjoy Abyssmal Sorrow as well (they're also from Australia).

    Funeral Doom

I think I'm going to be stalking this thread forever lol. I LOVE funeral doom. This is one of my favorite bands/albums. Headphones are a must. Sometimes I listen to it at night before I go to sleep. It brings me a sense of peace and tranquility. It's beyond beautiful.
  7. One of my all-time favorite bands. I can listen to them forever. Aleah's voice was so unique and beautiful. Such a tragic loss.
  8. Hi, everyone. I'm Lia. Glad to be here and meet other like-minded people who love music/metal as much as I do! Have listened to hard rock/metal pretty much my whole life. I love most genres of metal, but I prefer gothic, doom (especially funeral doom), melodic, and folk. Stoner metal like Electric Wizard is amazing as well. Some of my top favorite bands are Type O Negative, Swallow The Sun, Trees of Eternity, Mournful Congregation, Funeral Mourning, Abyssmal Sorrow, Paradise Lost, Insomnium, Slumber, Soilwork, Draconian, and Eluveitie. I also love bands like Death, Darkthrone, and Bathory. There are so many though and I'm always looking for new artists to listen to. A bit about myself - I'm in love with all forms of art and dabble in photography & collage. Introvert. Music-obsessed. I love the outdoors; nature is my sanctuary. Also love traveling and exploring new places when I can, especially anywhere where there's good food, wonderful architecture, and history. Also enjoy horror films and all things spooky. Cheers! \m/
