  1. Kids are great but there's some serious drawbacks with having them. My cousin's kid head butts him occasionally. Hopefully that's just a phase. Yeah that's bit rubbish unless you like a lack of space in your office or just like getting distracted with reading.
  2. I only listen to digital music as it's easy and it saves space. I download from bandcamp and Amazon music(about 69 albums in total)I'm very picky about what I get and only get an album after playing much of the album. I've got 400 CDs in the loft. They were put there because of lack of space and because the kids needed a bigger room and I didn't want them playing frisbee with my cds. Also I've got about 200 of them on MP3 players. It's good listening to those when I do. The spreadsheet idea is very good idea as there are lots of good albums I've literally forgotten about.
  3. Yeah I'm amazing for looking this up right😁 Cool story. Much cooler than my mate who sometimes has a few at the local pub with Martin Johnson's dad. He told some good stories too about his rugby career. It's good to hear these positive stories thanks for sharing
  4. We don't agree on much but I don't get venom at all either. I won't say they duck because there held in very high esteem by alot of fans.i don't like it and I just avoid it. It never sounded good to me and devoid of anything I like. I'm not a fan of the riffs, production, the hooks, the singing. None of it. I will leave it for others to enjoy.
  5. Good to hear from you plant pot. If you like operatic metal AVE Maria 2 by deha I think you'd like. It mixes beautiful female operatic soprano vocals with some light funeral doom. So beautiful and pained at the same time. I connect with this more than the original. Schubert would be pleased with a contemporary release I'm sure. Who's your favourite operatic metal band? I was right epica are in operatic metal😁
  6. Ok laugh in a jovial way then but strictly no whacking with medieval maces. Standards are to be kept after all 😂
  7. As an English dude I'd never thought of why a try is called a try. I googled it. It's called a try as you get a try to kick the ball between the posts and get some points. Originally grounding the ball down in the try zone counted for nothing without making the conversion kick. Hope that clears things up for you goat master
  8. Maybe caps are only awarded for club and country now Frasier. Mind you what use is a hat with a silly tassle anyway. I'm guessing that not all as impractical as the one my great grandfather got. 😁 Sounds amazing that Italian match. What a setting. The team you faced sound like they had some good players in there. What an experience. 👏👏 In interview Will carling said Jonah lomu was one of the best and most powerful he's played against. He said he threw everything at Jonah in the semi final for one of his tries but he just bounced off Jonah.
  9. The sweet gobbler is back general. I've been thinking about this and some people find it beneficial to believe in sky fairy/god's/the honey monster, even if there like imaginary friends for grown ups. 2 people from my old church attempted suicide after which they discovered faith in God which has helped them stay steady and no more suicide attempts. Another pal who gave up drug dealing and who spends all his time volunteering now with local homeless charity is also a strong believer. He was the last person I expected to go to church. Yet he goes. I'd say some people are bit broken and having a faith can help them stay positive and functioning. My cousin who was literally spending all his money on crack cocaine became quite appreciative of the church as they were keeping him going with there food for the community . He also thinks Jesus life was very inspiring with all the help he gave people. And my grandfather became a believer of sorts before he died. He found it all rather comforting. Sounds to me that you don't need faith now. My brother does not get it either. Also There are eye witness accounts about jesus ressurection and various sightings post crucification but tbh it's hardly concrete stuff .Its probably about as likely I would have thought as those flying sauces and little green men that others believe they saw or were abducted by and why'd the aliens want to do all that anal probing😂 whyyyyyyy
  10. Well done dead1. I stopped drinking for couple of weeks and I was feeling alot more alert which was very surprising. I like drinking so I'm not going to stop completely. It's my only vice😁 When I drink I want a few so I'm going to drink once per month and see how that goes. Course the occasional toasts at suitable events don't count for me like the memorial event I was at yesterday.
  11. Been watching count duckula with my daughter's. Not seen it since it was first on TV. Im surprised how much they like it considering there 2. The quiet Earp episode was fun with the Clint Eastwood cliche voiced sherrif. as was duckula on holiday at hardluck hotel with the basil Fawlty cliche hotel owner. I liked it more than I thought I would too
  12. Cool. Then it's recommended. Have you seen them live.
  13. Cool were in agreement over One point for penalties and conversion kicks. That would hopefully encourage less kicking fest's such as springboks win in 1995 and 2007 cup final where no tries were scored. What rule change would help bring about more tries. Have you read about some rule changes that are being trialled in international and domestic rugby at the moment.
  14. I'd say Mark Taylor and Alistair cook are legends of the game even with all that blocking. . Cook scored twelve thousand plus runs which I reckon is incredible. My best mates uncle made cook his bats which was cool, they was well made and that had nothing to do with all that blocking, it was just his approach😂 my mate got a signed cook bat too which was cool, Another big blocker I remember being Michael Atherton.
  15. Alcohol and test cricket go together well from my experience. Watched one game sober. Never again. Watching paint dry would have been more fun than seeing Alistair cook block ball after ball in that tedious one day match against Australia.🥱
  16. Dead thanks for the measured response. In fact it's all been in good spirits. I want to keep that up. To be a Christian was never an easy choice. Carrying ones cross is mentioned a few times in new testament as it was a reality for the early Christians.its true the Christian rules do seem rather dated now but back then they were rather progressive. All were equal before God. The Romans did not like this at all. better treatment of children as for Romans infanticide was e just the done thing.after few years they'd decide if the child would be adopted into the family or abandoned. The early church was against this and they'd take in the ones who weren't smothered by daddy or eaten by wolves. So I think anybody should have freedom of choice of God/sky fairy😂 or believing in none at all or sitting on the fence should be everyone's right. Also we should all be at peace with each other. So there's no excuse to do terrible deeds because they have a different god and they look different.
  17. I'm thinking that applies to rugby union in England. From my experience it's mostly a private school sport in England. Run by morons. On discussion sites re rugby union alot of Aussies say that Would a change to the point scoring system make a difference to encourage more tries and less kicking points. Is 12 points for a try with one point for try conversion kick t and 1 point for penalty kicks too radical. It certainly be more exciting
  18. That's a good way to stop yourself falling asleep while driving a truck. I don't have to slap myself in the face repeatedly whilst driving to work anymore as now catch up on sleep at weekend. Obvious really. 🥱 I drink the cheap crap too 🥃😂which most people can only drink with mixers.i like the famous grouse and Whyte and Mackays, teachers I'd get again but Tesco don't sell it🤬 What are the cheap crap whisky brands you go for😉. Also I appreciate the fancy stuff more by drinking this as my regular sipper. Yo ho ho re the rum☠️
  19. Thats high proof allright mark m. I've had amazingly smooth 160 proof rums although I'd imagine you get more flavour from the 115 proof. Sounds like a slow sipper so the flavours can be appreciated.am I right? Did you drink it neat or with water or ice. Would you buy it again.
  20. Ok. You can have Eddie Jones back after 2023 world cup. After we've won by beating South Africa in the final. 3rd time lucky😊 How do you rate the wallabies chance at world cup. Surely your going to win again before too long.
  21. You mean Eddie jones getting the Aussie coach job again. He did get the team to the 2003 final where England won 🌹🏉💪.
  22. Was this any good mark m. Was it worth it? What proof is this out interest. I had lapraiog quarter cask single malt other day.i liked the bigger flavours from the whisky from being quarter cask and for £25 it's good value. Except water from the tap he might remember that unless he has vodka coming out of those as well😁
  23. Ok so not controntational yet but below quote could have created a very negative set of discussions. This is a spark for creating a potentially very negative discussion. Sure it didn't go down that road. I can say for Christians anyone doing bad in Christs name is not part of the group no matter how high up they are, in fact the new testament points that out many times very clearly. From my understanding its a peaceful religion youve only got to read the new testament to see that. . When Peter took up arms in the garden of Gethsemane. Jesus ordered Peter put his sword down even though he knew he was to be crucified. Violence is not part of it. Christians are counter cultural were told to love our enemies for instance which is not easy. Are Christians Martin Luther king, William wilburforce(brought about end of slavery in Britain),GK Chesterton(who wrote strongly against the eugenics movement in Britain and an immediate critic of hitler). a plague against humanity. I'd say not.
  24. 2nd row looked that up. Cool you played for county. Do you still get caps for that. My great grandfather played for Yorkshire and I've got the cap in the loft at my parents house. You played against Italy. You mean the national team. Re the injuries yeah not good and reason to stop. I know people who did not and they can't walk like an uncle. Do you have any effects from the knocks to the head. My cousin says he gets headaches as result of various fights he's been in but not all started by him. My cousin😁 Eddie Jones is amazing coach overall his record is top,3 world cup finals if I'm not mistaken. His salary is crazy though. How many millions a year. Euan Murray. What a powerhouse.very Impressive muscular physique. Hes had very interesting life with stopping playing on Sunday for his faith and being a vet. That's cool naming your kid Euan after Mr murray I will take your word on France winning. Do you reckon South Africa will join 6 nations. There's talk of it and Italy getting booted out.
