after hours and hours of research, I'm going to pass. if you follow the past sales on reverb, they have sold, in great shape with the case, under $300. It appears that the value is dropping on them and they are a hard sell. its a niche market to sell to. I have many gibson Les Pauls / Strat / tele. I thought it might be fun to play with but if I hate it a few days later, im going to be hard pressed to get what I paid for it back. she is selling off an estate so there's no way to test it unless I tote an amp with me. there no way to know if the electronics work if I don't take an amp. it has the PIA 1000 Floyd Rose on it . it would be better if it were a hard tail. I also read a lot of stuff about hit or miss QC. all that said, I don't think its a wise investment. BUT, I certainly appreciate your input. And I thank you for that...

thanks for your help. I've never owned anything with a Floyd Rose and from what im reading they can be a huge pain in the ass. wish it was a hardtail mockingbird. apparently the hardballs are few and far between.

I don't see the whammy bar in the pics that they sent me. im going to look at this bc rich tomorrow and I have ZERO knowledge of these guitars.I have no idea how to figure out when it was made or decode the serial number.I have no idea what a fair price on it is either.So I thought id ask the bc rich guys here for helpThanks in advance for your help
