I don't know what the label was but i remember finding the CD a few years ago on a website that lists all the album releases worldwide, so i guess it wasn't a bootleg. A friend of mine also told me he got the same compilation from a magazine, back when magazines was one of the few ways to discover new bands. Edit: From what i remember this compilation was pretty well known between Folk and Viking metal fans, which makes me even more sure it was an original thing.

So, around 2006 or something, i used to listen to a Folk/Viking compilation non-stop and for the past weeks i've been trying to find this awesome cd again without success. I've spent hours searching literally everywhere on the web but this damn compilation is nowhere to be found. The name was "Folk & Viking Metal Compilation" and it was splitted in 2 cds... I also remember finding this compilation again a few years ago with a different name... It started with Finntroll - Trollhammaren, followed by Korpiklaani - Beer Beer (or maybe Moskau?). Some of my all-time favorites bands/artists are probably Iron Maiden, Ronnie James Dio, Manowar, Megadeth, Pantera (especially late 80s), Watchtower, Voivod, Forbidden, Suicidal Tendecies, 3 Inches of Blood, Morbid Angel, Adramelech, Nile, Behemoth , Cannibal Corpse, but also Hammerfall, Finntroll, Svartsot, Furor Gallico, Ensiferum, Eluveitie, Alestorm... The list is pretty long
